Is it the most in depth discussion of apple’s upcoming releases and business plans? No Is that what you need anyway? No of course is isn’t.

Listener questions never did it for me. And now they’re going paid sub only. Unsubscribed.

Insightful analysis but they have more fun and get a little more acerbic than many other podcasts; perfect for my British/darker sense of humour.

Of course content creators deserve to be paid for their work but what happened to the Rebound should serve as an example of how *not* to do it. The podcast has been completely ruined by “listener questions” which have taken over the entire format of the show to make it pretty much unlistenable. By all means offer special podcasts for subscribers to ask the hosts, or even occasional one-offs like Macworld’s hot takes or Pod Save America’s mailbag episodes. After the biggest WWDC in years with so much to talk about, Lex was already pitching listener questions 7 minutes in before Dan had even had a chance to scratch the surface of the iOS 15 beta, “Are we even done!? Are we already onto listener questions?!”. Totally understand how you feel Dan! I then knew my years of listening to the Rebound was on borrowed time. I persevered because I still loved listening to the three hosts but the constant interruptions with (mostly) inane or irrelevant questions were no longer making it worth the ride. When I saw this week’s episode was “Oops all questions” I knew it was time to unsubscribe.
