The Selkie in Scottish Folklore

Today we will discover the Selkie, one of Scotland’s oldest folk legends, with tales that demonstrate the gentle nature of this creature and the sorrow that befalls it so often at the hands of humankind. But I will also share stories where there are lessons to be learned from the mistreatment of this shape changer, that slips off the skin of a seal to walk upon the land with two legs.
