    S2E22 - Brian Taylor: The VOICE of Footy APOLOGISES - Legendary Calls, Craft, 80s Footy, Chainsaws & Haters. PLUS the NFL Took Over Melbourne…

    The boys are back and the bedroom has a new chair.. because this week we have our first ever in-house guest, and we thought we'd start small. Brian Taylor joins us in the studio. One of the great voices of Australian footy, two decades on Seven and Triple M, and a bloke who owes the boys an apology after the Legends Game. He delivers it. Then he peels back the curtain on the whole thing: how it took him ten years to find his voice, the one line from his boss that gave him permission to go big, why he can tell inside five minutes whether he's on, and the call he's proudest of. He also gets honest about the criticism. What his sons told him to do about the comments, the mates in the industry who've needed help, and the number one of the best in the world gave him that changed how he thinks about the haters. And then there's the footy he played. Two jobs at once, a plumbing apprenticeship that took a 16 year old somewhere he wasn't expecting, 100 goals in a season, pre-seasons with no water, and the one thing from the 80s he'd bring back if he could. PLUS the boys get BT to rank his tools, because everything's got to be battery these days. But before all that.. the NFL took over Melbourne. The boys tried on a Super Bowl ring, got onto the ground at the G with a drink in hand, sat next to an Essendon full forward, and watched 100,000 people throw paper planes.     S2E21 - Dermot Brereton's VERNACULAR, I Got Hit With Anti-Politeness & Saving a Local Cricket Club

    The boys are back in the studio and Melbourne is humming.. finals are here, the NFL has rolled into town and the Sunday Footy Show has apparently started listening to the pod. Word of the Week is back, and it's got a new ambassador. Dermot Brereton had his say on the Clarko sacking and dropped six words in one take that had the boys reaching for the dictionary. Is Dermi out of touch with the common AFL punter, or are we just dumb? Miles also gets hit with "anti-politeness" in a supermarket aisle, and no one can work out what that even is. The NFL is in Melbourne.. the 49ers have been here all week, the Rams are flying in the night before. Genius or disrespectful? The boys disagree. Archie's Bulletin makes its return with a wildcard Aussie at the US Open, a 19 year old punter roosting it in college, a suspicious number of Bens signing contracts, a goal-line clanger from the Geelong Footy League that has to be seen frame by frame, and grave concerns for Dan after a disruption to his nightly magnesium regime. And a new segment gets debuted by our Vice President, local cricket captain and producer Daniel Allen. His cricket club is on its knees, he's got a committee meeting this week, and the podcast is now running the pitch. Write in with your ideas.     S2E20 - Dusty DON'T ARGUED Miles.. Archie's 'I Love You' Clanger & The Word of the Week Tribunal

    We're legends!! The boys are back in the studio after living out their childhood dream at the AFL Legends Game, played in front of 2.38 million people on Channel Nine. This is the full debrief.. everything that went down Thursday night and the stories the cameras didn't catch. The Don't Argue heard around the country gets the full retelling (it was a manifestation, and there's intel on whether Dusty knew exactly what he was doing), BT spends an entire broadcast crediting the wrong twin, Archie tells a legend he loves him mid game and can't remember which one, and the outfit that ALMOST made it onto national television gets its day in court. Speaking of court.. the Word of the Week committee is officially under investigation. Dan brings evidence, Archie mounts a defence, and Miles sits as jury in the first ever Word of the Week Tribunal. Plus Archie brings a special sports story from Germany that has to be heard to be believed: 167 runners, one loop every hour, no finish line, and a duel that lasted four days.     S2E19 - We're Playing With DUSTY & Buddy... Archie's Pitch to Kane Cornes

    Its Legends Week!! The boys are in the studio and this is the biggest week of the year.. Thursday night we run out at Marvel alongside Buddy, Cyril, Gaz Jr and Dustin Martin in the AFL Legends Game, all to raise funds for prostate cancer. We preview the whole thing: the ins and outs, best on predictions from the pregame dinner to the huddle, Operation Twin Sandwich, and Archie delivers a formal pitch to coach Kane Cornes that has to be heard to be believed. But before all that.. Miles hates charity (context is everything), a dentist calls mid podcast, and Dan comes back from the desert with a new name. Plus Commentary Chaos is back rating the weekend's biggest calls, Dan recruits us for local cricket, and the ShepNugget returns. And keep a close ear out for this weeks Word of the Week..     Big week at Shepmates HQ! The boys have officially been picked for the AFL Legends Game at Marvel Stadium, the local footy chapter closes with one final serve from the Rye faithful, and somehow a marathon ends up on the line... Then the big man arrives. Scott Hanson, the voice of NFL RedZone, joins us from his home in Los Angeles ahead of the Rams v 49ers season opener at the MCG. Seventeen seasons, 294 shows, never missed one. Scott takes us inside the machine: the five hour audition that won him the gig, what he actually does the ONE time nature won in a decade, and the day a boxing dress rehearsal served him up two identical twins. He also reveals why the MCG game will be the biggest NFL crowd anywhere in the world this season, and exactly how he'd attack a 10:35am kickoff as a fan. On the flip side of excellence, Miles accidentally steals a stranger's luggage from the airport carousel. Archie leaves a laptop and an expensive bracelet at two different UK hotels.
