    Visionary Style

In episode 2, CEO of Kirk & Kirk, Jason Kirk, joins Alexandra to share his experience of building the super cool eyewear brand. With 100 years of trading in the optics industry, Jason, his wife, and the team launched the brand in 2015 with a funky new collection of eyewear. Kirk & Kirk celebrate individuality, none more so than Jason. Sitting on the sofa, sporting some fetching heavy-framed teal glasses, Jason speaks passionately about his family’s history, recalling a time when he was still working at L'Oréal. While clearing out his dad’s practice, he discovered an old box of glasses from the '50s and '60s, which formed the inspiration and genesis of the new Kirk & Kirk style. Jason took a week off work, visited some designers in London during that time, and set about bringing a fresh new brand to life. Kirk & Kirk uses innovative materials, with a desire to make eyewear part of the overall wardrobe. The brand's message inspires people to think about their look from the top of their heads to the tips of their toes—including the glasses they choose to wear. Switching between some of the product lines, Jason shows off a new limited edition color on the Horrace frame, which has a chunky nostalgic '70s vibe that looks super cool and sophisticated. During the episode, Alexandra reflects on how her dad used to wear red glasses in Paris, accompanied by some fetching facial hair to complement the bold look. Jason discusses how kindness and giving back are important character traits that have contributed to his success.
