What Did I Miss? (February 2026)

It’s time for another installment of What Did I Miss? — the episode where we catch you up on the biggest entertainment stories you may have missed this month. This month, we’re joined by Brenda and Kat from the Damsels Never Finish podcast, who we had the privilege of joining for an episode earlier this month. Together, we’re diving into the headlines that had everyone talking — and a few that may have flown under your radar. This month we discussed: • The upcoming Netflix adaptation of Lights Out and how Netflix continues leaning into live-action book adaptations • The surprising pitch that Daniel Radcliffe was once approached for a Wizard of Oz remake alongside Emma Watson and Rupert Grint during the height of the Harry Potter film series era • The continued rise in popularity of Heated Rivalry and how it’s bringing new fans into hockey culture • Bad Bunny’s halftime show performance and the cultural representation woven throughout We also briefly went over the discontinuation of mass market paperback books, news that an animated Venom film is in the works, casting updates for the live-action Scooby-Doo, and other pop culture headlines from February. Missed the discourse? We’ve got you covered. International Feature: Love Actually

This week on International Feature, we took a trip back to one of the most talked-about holiday rom-coms of all time: Love Actually. Often held up as a seasonal classic, the film has remained a staple of Christmas viewing for years — but for us, revisiting it raised a lot more questions than warm fuzzy feelings. We dug into why the movie’s reputation doesn’t match our experience, and how some of its most celebrated moments have aged… poorly. • Only really connecting with one or two of the relationship dynamics presented  • Our genuine disbelief that this is considered a romantic comedy “classic”  • The blatant fatphobia and the way several characters are mistreated for laughs  • The uncomfortable and inappropriate dynamic between Keira Knightley and Andrew Lincoln’s character  • Too many characters, too little depth, and barely enough time spent with any storyline  • The randomness of certain casting choices — and how Martin Freeman ends up in movies like this  • Why ensemble rom-coms just don’t work for us when the emotional payoff isn’t there A holiday staple for some… but for us, this was more frustrating than festive Letterbox'd Synopsis: Eight very different couples deal with their love lives in various loosely interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London. 🔻You can find all important links for the podcast over at https://linktr.ee/waitforitpodcast🔺 🔻BACKGROUND MUSIC PROVIDED BY: Ocean by KV https://soundcloud.com/kvmusicprod  Free Download / Stream: http://bit.ly/2OCvpHU Music promoted by Audio Library https://youtu.be/a8ctDtA7OK8 — Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported  — CC BY 3.0 🔺  Enjoyed the episode? Late To The Party - When Harry Met Sally

This month on Late to the Party, we’re finally sitting down with one of the most iconic romantic comedies of all time: When Harry Met Sally. From razor-sharp dialogue to endlessly quotable moments, this film has remained a pop culture staple for decades — but does it still hold up today? We break down the performances, the realism behind the friendship, and the moments that feel timeless… and the ones that feel a little more complicated in hindsight. • Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal’s unforgettable chemistry and performances  • Why the friendship between Harry and Sally feels so real and grounded  • Sally as a surprisingly strong, confident character—especially for the era  • How the film handles romance without forcing her to compromise what she wants  • The pacing shift and how the ending feels a bit “speed run” once they hook up  • The infamous diner scene, why it was controversial, and how it’s aged over time Synopsis: Sex always gets in the way of friendships between men and women. At least, that’s what Harry Burns believes. So when Harry meets Sally Albright and a deep friendship blossoms between them, Harry’s determined not to let his attraction to Sally destroy it. But when a night of weakness ends in a morning of panic, can the pair avoid succumbing to Harry’s fears by remaining friends and admitting they just might be the perfect match for each other? 🔻You can find all important links for the podcast over at https://linktr.ee/waitforitpodcast 🔺 🔻BACKGROUND MUSIC PROVIDED BY: "Extenz - Gravity" is under a Creative Commons license Music promoted by BreakingCopyright: https://bit.ly/extenz-gravity 🔺 Enjoyed the episode? 7. International Feature: Anatomy of a Fall

    21 JAN

International Feature: Anatomy of a Fall

For our first International Feature of 2026, we dive into Anatomy of a Fall, the 2023 French courtroom drama, directed by Justine Triet. It became a major awards-season standout, winning the Palme d’Or at Cannes and sparking wide conversation for its unconventional approach to truth, perspective, and performance. Rather than leaning on flashy courtroom theatrics, the film builds tension through ambiguity, character study, and meticulous visual choices. In this episode, we break down what made Anatomy of a Fall resonate so strongly with audiences and critics alike, including what worked for us and why the film continues to linger long after the credits roll. The across-the-board performances, from the lead actors all the way down to the dogHow the film’s open-ended storytelling challenges the audience to sit with uncertaintyDirect, intentional cinematography choices that quietly shape how we interpret eventsA courtroom drama focused on truth and perception, without over-the-top legal theatricsWhy restraint and realism make the emotional beats hit harderWhether you loved the ambiguity or found it frustrating, this was a film that gave us plenty to unpack. Letterbox'd Synopsis: A woman is suspected of her husband’s murder, and their blind son faces a moral dilemma as the sole witness.
