Finding a community to support you in your new venture should be a top priority. You need people around you who understand what it is like to run your own business. Who understand the pressures, the pitfalls and the pivots that have to be made. That is why Building your business community is part of this wedding business start-up series.

We have taken a look at the basics of starting up in episode 115 with Lucille and last week I spoke about research and how important that is today we look at your community and its importance.

116 Starting a Wedding Business: Research

116 Starting a Wedding Business: Research

Following my interview with Lucille Roache last week I bring you the Start your wedding business series along with last week's episode this is a 5 part series. I hope it helps you if you are starting or thinking of starting a wedding business.

If you already have a wedding business don't worry there is still info in here for you too.

So today with start with step one which is the research phase. The research I'm focused on here is market research. These days the need for something isn't really something you need to research because if you were looking to provide something that isn't being provided you'll be hard pushed to find that gap. However, that doesn't mean it's not viable because these days people like choice and especially in the wedding industry people buy people so there is always room for you because you are unique.

113 I FAILED! Morning and Evening Routines Revisited

113 I FAILED! Morning and Evening Routines Revisited

    I failed!
They say failing to prepare is preparing to fail and that was my downfall here I think. Back in February, I attempted to hold myself accountable with you guys to a morning and evening routine that was to change my world!! And I promised I'd report back in a few months with the results. We'll they are in and it's not good.

Where did it all go wrong?
Changing habits or creating new ones isn't easy. when you fall into a routine that has been the same for years it's hard to break it and change it. So today I admit my failings and I hope it shows you that if at first, you don't succeed it's not time to give up, it's time to change tack and try again
    In this episode:
Why my routines failedWhat will I change going forwardWhat workedWhat won't work'You'll never change your life until you change something that you do daily'
    John C Maxwell

    Miracle Morning Hal Elrod
    Atomic Habits James Clear
