Join Clara Amfo as she explores the streets of London through the eyes of some of the city’s most recognisable names. Along the way she’ll discover the places that made them – from the pubs and restaurants they frequent, the spots that kickstarted their careers, to their favourite hidden gems that make the great metropolis we call London so special. One thing’s for sure, it all happened in This City.

Olly Alexander
This week I'm delighted to be joined by singer and actor, Olly Alexander! Best known as the lead singer of Years and Years and most recently has been breaking our hearts in Channel 4's drama 'It's A Sin'.

Nick Grimshaw
This week's guest is your friend and mine, fellow Radio 1 broadcaster Nick Grimshaw! He's quite possibly one of the funniest people I know and someone who has most defnitely made This City his playground, and has got some great stories all about it.

MNEK
This week's guest is somebody I've known since they were a teenager, it's the incredibly talented producer, singer and artist, MNEK. They have written hits for everyone from Beyonce to Little Mix via Dua Lipa, Kylie and Madonna. It's such a pleasure to welcome South London's finest onto the podcast.

Skin
My guest this week is one of my all time heroes, Skin from iconic 90s rock bank Skunk Anansie. From working as a bouncer at the Brixton Academy to performing there, as well as presenting, DJing, producing and now a published author, she's a complete icon and I'm so delighted to have her on the show.

Reni Eddo-Lodge
This week I'm speaking with writer, journalist and podcaster Reni Eddo-Lodge. Growing up in East and North London, she became the first black British woman to be #1 in the British Book Charts for her book, 'Why I'm No Longer Talking To White People About Race', and she's written for The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegraph and the New York Times to name but a few. To be honest I'm a bit nervous because, look, she's really clever!

5 out of 5!!
I just finished listening to the Skin episode with literal tears in my eyes the whole time! I was also at the 2011 Skunk Anansie gig at the Brixton Academy and this interview brought back some amazing memories! I love Clara and her warm, friendly energy. I can’t wait to binge the other episodes! As a Londoner currently living abroad this podcast really is the slice of home that I needed! THANK YOU!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Very funny
Loved the episode with Reni, so funny remembering about the Vodka being un-drinkable in cheapskates, you forgot to mention how often a stray cigarette would end up on your arm.... 😂
Sophia Webster
