This Old Thing?

Actually shocked me when I had my headphones in, during the Sienna Miller interview & the host inexplicably begins shouting over & over again. Detracts from enjoyment.

This is fast becoming one of my favourite podcasts. I love Bay’s chatty, informal style and the passion her guests have for vintage and second hand fashion. As a lifelong thrifter and vintage lover, it’s so wonderful that this is becoming a far more mainstream way of shopping.

I really wanted to like this but find the sound quality to be extremely off putting. I had to give up on the Poppy Delavigne episode. Poppy's voice varied wildly: sometimes loud, sometimes quiet without warning. Bay sounded like she was speaking down a very bad far away phone line. Big disparity in the levels and clarity. Massively irritating.

I love Bay and have followed her and her work for years so was excited to discover this podcast. The guests are great, the conversations interesting but it sounds like it been recorded in someone’s bedroom… fluctuating volumes, tinny sounds. Bad. I find it quite off putting. Bay is a passionate interviewer but not polished so she’ll jump in and talk over people. That I don’t mind, I think it’s quite endearing but if you’re looking for quality journalism this isn’t it. Overall, a nice little listen.
