    #106 Defence Lawyer to Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy and her fight against the Death Penalty. Introducing Karen Conti.

    Karen Conti was a young and inexperienced attorney when she spent 7 months as part of the legal team representing serial killer John Wayne Gacy in his final death row appeals. A time that defined her professional trajectory.
    We discuss societal aspects of criminal infamy, including the consequences of giving attention to nefarious individuals and the importance of redirecting attention and funds from capital punishment towards crime prevention.
    Further, we reflect on the difficult balance for an empathetic lawyer between professional duty and public scrutiny. Karen offers sage wisdom on self-worth and living by one's own values, while also sharing her experience dealing with dangerous minds, their manipulation tactics, and the significance of surrounding oneself with positive influences.
    For a deeper understanding of these topics and an inside look at Karen Conti’s professional journey and her book, "Killing Time with John Wayne Gacy", make sure to tune into our compelling conversation that moves beyond the flashy headlines and into the essence of our humanity.

    The Price Tag of AI Feat. Scott Sereboff

    The Price Tag of AI Feat. Scott Sereboff

    The ethics of AI: AI is neutral but how it’s coded and used will determine if it’s good or bad for us. Here’s the catch: its development is based around profit and private companies are racing each other for it. This race is not democratically run and we have no regulations in place to manage AI’s warpspeed advances and without fail-safes it’s a gloomy prospect.

    We also cover the link between Green energy, lithium, AI and Tesla. If one day things go south with lithium’s import, will sending that one email be as expensive as heating our home?

    Not all gloom and doom, we also touch on the advantages of having AI in our lives.

    Tune in to find out what can be done to avoid the worst and manage our world with AI already deeply embedded in it. Hear all of this from today’s guest Scott Sereboff with 25+ years in surveillance and security technologies. This includes everything from cameras to AI and biometrics. Recorded on the 27th Apr 2023.

the real paul chomsky ,

The details are great

Have listened to quite a few of Ange’s podcasts but really impressed with the last couple about AI and finances. Ange comes really prepared, asks great questions of the guests and lets them speak but it’s great to hear her in full-flow too! Hope she enjoys her well deserved break and look forward to listening to her new series!

@LondonDodger ,

Dating Coaching Works!

Really loved listening to this podcast where Angie chats with Dating Coach James Preece. So much value here and some of it make me laugh so hard I spat out my coffee!

Thephilosophicalcoach ,

A must listen for those who like humour and candour!

I learnt a lot listening to Angie’s episode on Tantric, it opened up a perspective beyond what I already knew. The dynamic between her and her guest was brilliant. The humour and candour that she brings to the podcast makes this show a must listen. Listening to Angie left me feeling this is a person who would be fascinating to sit down and have a chat with. And she definitely is! In fact it was from being so impressed by her podcast that she ended up becoming a guest on my show. You won’t be disappointed you tuned in! :)
