Funny as F**k

Recently started listening to Desert Island Dicks and almost gave the episode with Sam Delaney a swerve - that whiny get off Sky News, why bother! But I did and Sam is now my favourite human! Darkly, hilariously, bitter and I downloaded TFTM immediately and it’s all I’ve listened to for 2 weeks - Sam and Andy cheer me up on the way to work when I’m already hating the world! Only got about 200 episodes to catch up on..! Don’t know why some miserable bastards are moaning about lack of football, or Andy ‘being bitter’, both Andy and Sam are funny as and bounce really well off each other. LOVE the pair of them!

Easily the consistently funniest chatter between two people.

Whether you enjoy the word c*nt being said more than you’d like if your mum is listening in the background, or you enjoy deep football content on the very odd occasion, this is the podcast. It is absolutely excellent and consistently so! Andy Dawson is, as ever, funny, astute and inventive and Sam Delaney is consistently brilliant. Couldn’t rate this highly enough.

50% Funny, 50% Bitter

Despite being a ‘football' podcast, this show is actually only tangentially about football and is mostly an excuse for the 2 hosts to mess around and tell funny stories… which, and I think you’ll agree, is fine by me!
However, while one of the hosts is a very funny anecdotalist who loves to jump off into whimsical and hilarious flights of fancy, the other host isn’t funny in the slightest, has a massive northern chip on his shoulder (and I say this as a fellow northerner!) and often actually ruins the other host’s comedy by blocking him, interrupting him, shutting him down or copying his voices and anecdotes but in a painfully unfunny way.
It makes for a very strange show. One of the funniest things you can treat your ears to when Sam is talking but a bitter, unfunny car-crash when Andy is talking.
So subscribe and listen but keep your finger close to the skip forward button!
