Beauty Standards Aren't Random. They Never Were: The Hypnotic Trance They Don't Want You to Snap Out Of!

Beauty Standards Aren't Random. They Never Were: The Hypnotic Trance They Don't Want You to Snap Out Of! (Episode 6) Here's the pattern Kryssa can't unsee: every single time women collectively gain power... economic, political, cultural, doesn't matter which... the beauty standard shifts. And it doesn't shift toward more freedom. It shifts smaller. Thinner. Younger. More childlike. Right on cue. In this solo deep-dive, Kryssa traces that pendulum swing from medieval Europe through the Victorian era, both World Wars, the "ideal housewife" 1950s, the feminist waves of the 60s and 70s, the diet culture of the 80s and 90s, and straight into the Ozempic-and-body-positivity contradiction of the 2020s. Same pattern. Different decade, different tool. Because here's the part that makes it feel less like fashion and more like strategy... a woman who's financially drained chasing the next trend, mentally exhausted tracking every "rule," or physically depleted from an eating disorder or a new weight-loss drug is not a woman who has the bandwidth to organize, resist, or take up space. Even "body positive" eras still quietly demand the heels, the nails, the razor. The constraints just get rebranded. Is this a top-down conspiracy? Not exactly. Is it a hypnotic trance millions of us have been running on autopilot since childhood? Kryssa would argue... yes. The good news about a trance is that it can be broken. You just have to recognize the pattern first. No shame for anyone in it. No lecture about what you "should" do with your body. Just an invitation to see the loop clearly enough to finally opt out. Ghosts, Guides & Unseen Beings. What The Heck Is Really Going On?

Ghosts, Guides & Unseen Beings: What Are We Actually Experiencing? (episode 5) Have you ever sensed a presence in a room, received a message that couldn't possibly have come from your own mind, or wondered whether consciousness continues long after the body is gone? In this episode, Kryssa Marie Bowman and Stephanie Conkle venture into one of humanity's oldest and most fascinating questions: What are we actually experiencing when we encounter ghosts, spirit guides, and other unseen beings? Kryssa shares a remarkable hypnotherapy case involving a client whose depression and anxiety appeared to be connected to a past-life trauma. During the session, the client experienced life as a five-year-old child who died in a tornado and remained trapped as a confused spirit in the family farmhouse. What followed was an unexpected soul retrieval that transformed the session and challenged conventional explanations of healing. Stephanie recounts childhood encounters with spirits that seemed attached to antique furniture, along with a powerful dream visitation from the deceased mother of her best friend. The message she received would ultimately help prevent a tragic outcome and forever change her understanding of the boundary between life and death. Drawing from their own near-death experiences, astral travel, and decades of work exploring consciousness, Kryssa and Stephanie discuss the nature of the astral plane, why some traditions warn against becoming attached to it, and why Kryssa believes the invitation to "go toward the light" may be more important than many people realize. Whether you interpret these experiences as spiritual encounters, psychological phenomena, multidimensional consciousness, or something science has yet to explain, this conversation invites you to explore the mystery with curiosity rather than certainty. Because sometimes the most interesting question isn't whether these experiences are real. It's what they might be trying to teach us about who we really are. And stay tuned, because this episode opens the door to future conversations about angels, extraterrestrial intelligence, multidimensional beings, and the possibility that humanity has forgotten far more about consciousness than we've ever been taught. As Mentioned in Today's Podcast... In this episode, Kryssa references a chapter from her anthology, Quantum Journeys: Tales of Multidimensional Healing and Discovery, titled: "Are Ghosts Just Fragments That Get Left Behind?" (Page 60) The chapter explores a fascinating alternative to the traditional ghost narrative: What if some hauntings aren't the souls of the dead at all, but rather energetic fragments, emotional imprints, or aspects of consciousness that have become separated from the larger self? Drawing from real client sessions and regression experiences, the chapter examines the possibility that some unexplained phenomena may reveal more about the multidimensional nature of consciousness than they do about death itself. 📖 Quantum Journeys: Tales of Multidimensional Healing and Discovery is available in paperback and ebook formats. 👉 https://a.co/d/eB8swmk Support the show Two Woke Chics™  Producers: Stephanie Conkle & Kryssa Marie Bowman      TWC Swag Reach out to your Woke Chics:  Kryssa https://www.kryssamariebowman.com  Stephanie https://www.clearliferesults.com Follow us on social media!  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TwoWokeChics Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/twowokechics TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@twowokechics Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/twowokechics Disclaimer: Two Woke Chics™ is intended for entertainment, education, existential spirals, and occasional nervous system recalibration. Dying to Know: NDEs, OBEs & What Happens When Consciousness Leaves the Chat

Dying to Know: NDEs, OBEs & What Happens When Consciousness Leaves the Chat? (episode 4) What happens when consciousness checks out of the body... and comes back with receipts? In this deeply personal episode, Stephanie Conkle and Kryssa Marie Bowman go there. All the way there. Stephanie recounts the moment her soul left her body during an encounter with Jesus... traveling through a vortex into something she still doesn't have full words for. Kryssa shares, for the first time publicly, her own near-death experience at 18 during childbirth... including a conversation with a presence she calls "EL," watching other souls build their own version of the afterlife, and the very deliberate choice to come back and finish what she started (hint: it involves ending generational trauma, not just personal healing). This isn't a "prove the afterlife exists" episode. It's not even really about death. It's about what these edge-of-life experiences reveal when you're forced to ask: what IS consciousness, actually, if it can leave the room and still be... you? The episode closes with Stephanie's shared-death experience with her dying uncle... overwhelming joy, an unmistakable presence, and a visit from the Virgin Mary that she still can't fully explain (and isn't trying to). No dogma. No proof-seeking. No pretending we have it all figured out. Just two woke chics getting radically honest about the moments that changed how they understand life, death, and everything in between. 🎙️ Two Woke Chics™ is where we explore the deeper architecture of life through the lenses of consciousness, neuroscience, spirituality, and awakened feminism. Multidimensional Consciousness: Your Brain May Be Local, But Your Consciousness Isn't (episode 3)

Multidimensional Consciousness: Your Brain May Be Local, But Your Consciousness Isn't (episode 3) What if your brain isn't producing consciousness... but receiving it? In this episode, Kryssa Marie Bowman and Stephanie Conkle dive into one of their favorite (and most mind-bending) topics: multidimensional consciousness. As clinical hypnotherapists, they spend their careers talking to different levels of a person's mind... the physical body, the subconscious, the higher consciousness... and what they've witnessed in that work has convinced them the brain is not the whole story. They unpack the idea that all is mind, all is consciousness, and what that actually means in practice when you're guiding a client through trauma, anxiety, or a pattern they can't logic their way out of. Because here's the thing... you can't always talk someone out of a wound using the part of them that got wounded. Sometimes you have to go talk to a different part entirely. This is the episode for you if you've ever wondered whether your intuition is "real," why hypnosis works at all, or what it might mean if consciousness doesn't start or end at your skull. No dogma. No white light platitudes. Just two woke chics getting technical about the architecture of the mind... and hinting at where this is all going next. (Spoiler: next episode, things get personal. Very personal.) Purchase Anthology Book mentioned in show, Quantum. Visibility Fears, Wounded Healers and People Pleasing: Were You Punished In Another Lifetime For Speaking Up?

Visibility Fears, Wounded Healers and People Pleasing (episode 2) Why do so many people feel physically unsafe being fully seen? Why does posting online, sharing your gifts, speaking your truth, or stepping into visibility trigger anxiety that feels bigger than the moment itself? In this episode, Kryssa Marie Bowman and Stephanie Conkle explore the overlap between the “witch wound” in spiritual communities, persecution patterns in psychology, and the wounded healer archetype that shows up in modern healing spaces. Could some fears around visibility stem from past-life memories or collective trauma? Maybe. Could they also come from childhood conditioning, nervous system patterning, rejection sensitivity, or modern social consequences for speaking up? Absolutely. This conversation doesn’t demand a rigid belief system. Instead, it explores why the fear feels so real, how shame keeps people silent, and what neuroscience tells us about retraining the brain and nervous system to feel safer being seen. You don’t necessarily need to know where the wound began in order to heal it. But sometimes understanding the pattern helps loosen its grip. If you’ve ever felt called to share your voice while simultaneously wanting to disappear, this episode is for you. The Law of Attraction May Be Keeping You Stuck: Manifesting Without the B.S.

LOA, Manifestation and All The B.S. (episode 1) What if the reason manifestation hasn’t been working the way you were promised… is because most of what you’ve been taught is incomplete? In the very first episode of Two Woke Chics™, international hypnotherapists and educators Kryssa Marie Bowman and Stephanie Conkle pull apart the modern manifestation industry and explore what’s actually happening beneath the surface of “reality creation.” From nervous system regulation and subconscious prediction loops to confirmation bias, emotional conditioning, and the brain’s built-in reality filters, this episode bridges neuroscience and consciousness in a way that’s grounded, funny, thought-provoking, and just a little feral. If you’ve ever wondered why vision boards, affirmations, and “high vibe” thinking sometimes seem to work… and other times completely fall apart, this conversation will make it make sense. No spiritual bypassing. No magical thinking  No pretending your trauma doesn’t exist. Just two woke chics talking about the deeper architecture of reality… without the B.S.
