Running only on “show notes”, the team at UKOCR have managed to produce a truly professional series of podcast episodes which covers pretty much everything you’d want to know about the UK OCR and Adventure Running scene. Where it’s a one to one in depth interview, in depth analysis of up and coming competitive races, or just the casual “pub” banter of the Swift Half, you won’t be disappointed! Other, more polished podcasts, could learn from Alan, Ian, Wil, and the team about keeping it relaxed, real, and down-to-earth whilst still being engaging and informative; without straying too far off topic…well, maybe a lot wandered - but never lost. All this, and Meal Deal buying advice as well as the odd beer review.

The UK.OCR podcast has quickly become the go-to place to get your ‘one hour’ download on all things OCR in the UK. Really enjoy listening to it on my runs and in the car. Great to see Alan & Ian promoting the sport and they’ve had some great guests on too. Keep up the great work 👏👏👏

Don’t expect a perfectly polished podcast, this is an entirely organic, well presented, and relaxed chat covering, amongst other things: OCR news, information on upcoming events, gear, and race reviews. Alan and Ian make the show as accessible as possible by keeping it light, informal, and above all else listenable. Down to earth, human, and more malapropisms than you could shake a stick at. Enjoy whilst out on a 5k run, but be prepared to go further, it’s guaranteed it’ll end up as 10k by the time last orders are called.
