    Month 4:1 | ADHD Rumination

    Three weeks. That's how long I spent mentally rehearsing a conversation about a friendship that was falling apart. I wrote scripts in the shower. I had arguments in the car with someone who wasn't there. I planned for every possible reaction, every worst case, every version of this person being upset or dismissive or cruel. And then the conversation happened. And it was fine. Better than fine, actually. Which meant I had just donated three weeks of my life to a disaster movie that was never going to get made.This is the first episode of Month 4, and we're digging into rumination. Not the clinical definition. The lived experience. What it actually costs you in time, in energy, in the ability to be present for anything else. Why your ADHD brain is particularly good at it.
