Wave Whispers is a Van der Waal kind of surf podcast. Born from a brainstorming between Clara and Martim, the idea is to interview some surfers, friends, interesting people around the surf industry, and ocean lovers in general. It’s divided into 3 sections: WARMUP where guests reply to fast questions just to... well, warm up, a WIPE OUT that's a would you rather short game, just for fun, and a Q&A for us to meet better our guests.     Good mood surfing with James Woolston aka Jimbo, from Surfbunker and Andsome Beer

    James Woolston aka Jimbo Smithers is a long time Van der Waal friend. We met at a Surfpreneurs meeting and since then that Martim is fascinated by James' conversations, ideas, and good mood. He is one of Surfbunker's co-founders and tested all Van der Waal versions (faulty versions included) making cool reviews that helped us to gain visibility. Nowadays James is in front of Andsome Beer, a brewpub and small batch brewer of beer in Lourinha focusing on quality not quantity. We loved this conversation so much and was so hard for me to cut James answers that we decided to split it in 3 parts.

    Federico Gobbi - Longboard Surfing Tips for Beginners

    Federico, aka surfingfede is a Longboard surfer with amazing videos with Surfing Tips for Beginners (and not only). Despite he has been a tester for Van der Waal for more than a year now, this was the first time we met live. As you can check in the video, Fede’s energy, mood and goodwill are amazing, and despite we have recorded this episode 2 times (Martim’s fault), we decided to sacrifice the quality of the recording to maintain the quality and spontaneity of Federico's responses.     Mendo de Dornellas surf photographer and film director

    Mendo de Dornellas is a world-renowned photographer and film director at @theendfilms.tv, known for his captivating images and unique vision. Born in Belgium and raised in Portugal, Mendo's love for the ocean and surfing led him on a journey of discovery that ultimately led him to pursue a career in photography and film. He is also Martim’s cousin, always asking for their grandma's pie recipe but also willing to help Martim raise Van der Waal business.     Rodrigo Campos is a great surfer from Peniche. Is also a drone pilot, kinda of photographer and manager of PKSC Surf camp. He is one of the first testers for Van der Waal and if you check our Instagram or website you should see Rodrigo almost everywhere. We have no words to say thank you Rodrigo for all his contributions for Van der Waal.
