    Your Best Wasn’t the Problem

What if your best was not the problem? In this episode of You’re Probably Right, MCM talks about rejection, effort, self-blame, and the painful realization that more love, more loyalty, more patience, or more hard work does not always change another person’s decision. This is not only about romantic rejection. It is about the person who pulls away before they explain why. The friend who stops calling. The family member who creates distance. The workplace that starts making decisions around you instead of with you. The company that decides it no longer needs you. The group that slowly stops including you. Sometimes you see the signs. The replies get shorter. The meetings change. The invitations stop. The energy feels different. And because nobody gives you a clear answer, you start looking at yourself. Maybe I need to try harder. Maybe I need to be more patient. Maybe I need to stop asking questions. Maybe I need to become easier to deal with. Maybe I need to prove my value one more time. So you give more. You work harder. You forgive more. You become more available. You start treating rejection like a problem you can solve if you just become better. But what if the decision was already made? MCM reflects on relationships, work, ghosting, being replaced, workplace rejection, Ryan Clark’s ESPN experience, the movie Ghost, and the difficult line between fighting for something that matters and slowly abandoning yourself trying to keep it. This episode is about the limit of effort. Effort matters. Growth matters. Accountability matters. But effort cannot control another person’s choice. You can love someone sincerely and still not be chosen. You can be talented and still lose the job. You can be loyal and still be left out. You can give your best and still watch somebody move on without you. The deeper question is not only, “Why didn’t they choose me?” The deeper question might be, “How long am I supposed to keep losing myself trying to make them?” If you have ever been ghosted, fired, replaced, pushed aside, excluded, or left wondering why everything you gave still was not enough, this episode is for you. Your best may not have been the problem. The problem may have been believing your best gave you control over their choice. Episode 364 You’re Probably Right with MCM Entertainment first. Why Do I Stop Being Myself When I’m Afraid of Losing Someone?

Why do some people stop being themselves the moment they finally get something—or someone—they’re afraid to lose? In this episode of You’re Probably Right, MCM explores what happens when fear quietly takes over and your life starts revolving around keeping, managing, protecting, or not losing a person, relationship, dream, or outcome. This is a reflective episode about attachment, self-abandonment, overgiving, anxiety, emotional management, and the slow way people can drift away from their own identity while trying to hold on to something they think they need. MCM talks about what happens when love, desire, or fear becomes so powerful that you stop moving freely and start living defensively. Instead of being yourself, you begin calculating, adjusting, shrinking, performing, and over-monitoring everything around you. At the centre of the episode is a powerful question: why do people stop being themselves once they finally get something or somebody they were afraid to lose? :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} The episode also wrestles with the cost of living that way. When your whole day starts revolving around what somebody else may do or not do, life can stop feeling like life and start feeling like management. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1} This conversation is for anyone who has ever felt themselves becoming less natural, less grounded, and less free inside a relationship or emotional attachment. It is about recognizing the pattern, understanding the fear beneath it, and finding your way back to yourself. And maybe, when you lose the person, the dream, or the thing you were clinging to, you may discover that what you really needed to return to was yourself all along. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2} If you have ever found yourself overthinking, overgiving, explaining too much, changing yourself to keep the peace, or feeling like you disappeared while trying not to lose someone, this episode is for you. They Like You… But Are They Safe to Love?

How do you know if someone is actually safe to love? Not just attractive. Not just exciting. Not just interested. Safe. One of the biggest mistakes people make in dating is believing that because someone likes them, they must also be capable of loving them well. Those are not the same thing. In this episode of You’re Probably Right, MCM explores why so many people stop evaluating a person the moment they feel chosen, and how that one mistake can lead to years of confusion, anxiety, overgiving, and heartbreak. This is a conversation about attraction, chemistry, intensity, intimacy, emotional safety, consistency, responsiveness, repair, and the difference between being wanted and being loved. MCM talks about why warning signs often become assignments once people become emotionally invested, how to tell whether someone likes you or simply likes what you do for them, and why big romantic gestures do not matter as much as what someone does when things become uncomfortable. This episode also looks at the mistake test, the support test, and the beginning versus reality test. The bigger question is simple: What happens when they meet the version of you that is not performing? This is not an episode about becoming more attractive. It is about becoming a better evaluator. Because someone choosing you does not mean you stop choosing carefully. It means it is time to pay even closer attention. If you have ever found yourself trying harder, giving more, explaining away red flags, or wondering whether someone who wants you is actually good for you, this episode is for you. What Do Average Men Really Want From Women? (What Women Keep Missing)

In Episode 358 of You're Probably Right, we continue one of the biggest conversations this podcast has ever started. Women have become comfortable telling men exactly what they want: A provider. A protector. A leader. A man with ambition. A man who earns well. A man who can build a future. But here's the question very few people ask: Are those expectations built for the average man... or for a version of him that fewer and fewer men actually become? This isn't an attack on women. It isn't a defense of men. It's a conversation about what has changed in modern relationships—and what hasn't. In this episode, we discuss: • Why today's labour market is different from previous generations. • Why many men and women value different things when choosing a partner. • Why attention has become one of the biggest hidden challenges in modern dating. • Social media, followers, and the difference between visibility and commitment. • Why backup plans quietly weaken trust. • Why ordinary life has become undervalued in the age of highlight reels. • What average men actually notice—but often struggle to explain. • The question almost nobody asks: What are you willing to sacrifice for the relationship you say you want? This episode isn't about blaming women or defending men. It's about understanding why so many ordinary people are struggling to build lasting relationships in a world that constantly rewards attention, comparison, and keeping your options open. Maybe we've been asking the wrong questions. Maybe we've been talking past each other. Or maybe... there are things we've all been missing. Listen now and decide for yourself. relationships, dating, marriage, average man, average woman, what men want, modern dating, social media, commitment, loyalty, emotional boundaries, masculinity, femininity, attraction, relationship advice, psychology, love, trust, You're Probably Right
