  • Male Confidence: How the "Alpha Male" Stereotype is Affecting Healthy Masculinity | S02E01

Male Confidence: How the "Alpha Male" Stereotype is Affecting Healthy Masculinity | S02E01

You look confident from the outside. People respect you, you carry yourself well, and by most external measures you're winning. But somewhere underneath all of it there's a slow, quiet drain you can't explain to anyone around you. That's the thing about male confidence: the version most men are performing has nothing to do with the real thing. In Season 2, Episode 1, Dennis Procopio brings on new co-host Charles Ledbetter, a trained life coach and former Man-UP! client turned coach. They open the season by calling out something most men won't say out loud: the angry, chest-beating alpha you grew up watching is scared. And a lot of men have built their entire identity on top of it. This episode gets into what Dennis calls the Failure Script, a six-step cycle that starts with self-judgment, moves through internalized rage and depression, and bottoms out at stagnation. Dennis and Charles walk through how that cycle works and how to flip it into the Success Script, where validation leads to motivation, motivation builds real confidence, and real confidence creates the risk-taking that actually changes your life. They also get into why men reach for alcohol, porn, or money when what they actually need is validation, and why the quiet, stoic father nobody posts about is more authentically masculine than anything going viral right now. EP 672: It's Never Too Late to Choose Yourself

Y'all, I need you to hear this today: the belief that "it's too late for me" is not a fact, it's a thought you've been watering for years, and today we're ripping it out at the root. In this episode I'm walking you through the exact belief systems that keep so many of you stuck in relationships that go nowhere, the scarcity stories, the "I'm too broken," the "the good ones are gone", and I'm showing you how those thoughts became beliefs in the first place. Plus I'm sharing the story of my client who came to me in her 50s after an avoidant discard, convinced she'd never be loved well. One month into our work together, she told me she has hope again. If that doesn't give you goosebumps, I don't know what will. Inside the Episode: The "leaf on the stream" exercise to catch the beliefs quietly running your love lifeWhy real change doesn't have to take years, and what actually speeds it upDiane's story: from "is it too late for me?" to "I feel new" If you're ready to start excavating the beliefs that are keeping you stuck, my Identity Reset mini-course is exactly where to begin. 👉🏼Get Your Access Today! If You Only Listen to One Podcast This Week, Make It This One

This might be one of the greatest conversations Mel has ever had on this podcast. Today, you’re getting an absolute masterclass in motivation from one of the greatest athletes walking this earth: Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. If you’ve ever felt self-doubt, pressure, or like your best days are behind you, you’re in the right place. In this conversation, Shelly-Ann does not hold back. Shelly-Ann is the most decorated 100-meter sprinter of all time, male or female. She has won Olympic gold 3 times. She has won 10 gold medals at the World Championships, with 2 of them coming after she gave birth to her son Zyon.  She is going to tell you: you are not supposed to be average. You are built for excellence and extraordinary things. But this isn't a conversation about being an athlete. This conversation is about building an unstoppable mindset and being the best version of yourself, no matter where you are in life. In this episode, you’ll learn how to: -Build the mindset of a champion -Use visualization to prepare for high-pressure moments -Stop focusing on constant comparison and worrying about what everyone else is doing -Bounce back after failure -Believe in your dream before anyone else understands it You’ll also hear a powerful message about the power Shelly-Ann gained after becoming a mother and not listening to people who told her she had to choose between motherhood and her career. Get ready, because Shelly-Ann is about to speak directly to your soul and inspire you to become your greatest self.

War in a Time of Peace: Bush, Clinton, and the Generals - David HalberstamDestiny and Power: The American Odyssey of George Herbert Walker Bush - John MeachamThe Commanders - Bob WoodwardRevisiting the George H. LeBron or Jordan? The Argument That Got Heated (S2S 552)

LeBron or Jordan? It's the debate that never dies. And this week, the crew dove headfirst into it. Fresh off the mastermind weekend, they came in ready to talk personal development. Instead, they ended up in the most heated sports argument they've ever had on this podcast. Because LeBron just signed with the Sixers. And now the conversation is back on the table. Is he the GOAT? Or is Jordan still untouchable? The guys break down the stats, the rings, the eras, the dynasties, and the longevity. They argue about whether LeBron's four championships in 23 seasons stack up against Jordan's six in 15. They debate whether losing in the finals is worse than losing in the first round. They unpack whether the COVID championship counts the same. And they go back and forth on who had better help, who faced tougher competition, and whether switching teams makes you less of a legend or just smart. They also break down why the NBA has become the portal. Why player movement is out of control. Why LeBron might get a statue in Cleveland but probably not in LA or Miami. And why even Michael Jordan said it's disrespectful to call anyone the GOAT when there are legends who came before him. This episode is not about personal development. It's about passion. It's about what happens when four friends who love sports sit down and argue like they're on First Take. And it's hilarious, it's heated, and it's exactly they needed after three straight days of mastermind intensity. Plus, CJ shares the story of meeting Magic Johnson at 13 years old and riding around with Bill Russell for an entire day. ET opens up about why he thinks LeBron winning in Philly would be incredible for the culture. And they announce the big news: Forever Forward Marriage Retreat is officially happening in Cancun. Less than 50 couples. No breakout rooms. Just a celebration of love.
