    This episode, Yeka and Monica speak with author, ex-ballerina, and TikTok star in her own right, Polina Sherry. Polina was born and raised in Qazaqstan to a Koryo-saram mother and an English father. After getting kicked out of a Russian ballet school, she moved to the UK to live with her grandmother. She graduated from university during COVID. With no jobs available at that time, she applied to be an English teacher in Japan. Her debut novel "Little Miss Fortune" is coming exclusively to Kobo on Aug 28th.

Victoria Malone is a writer and lawyer who writes about issues of race, gender, identity, and belonging. She has been published in Midnight & Indigo, PopSugar, Austin Woman Magazine, Teen Vogue, and Zora. Victoria earned her Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and her bachelor's degree in journalism and Canadian Studies from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. She is currently working towards her MFA from Warren Wilson College. She lives in Malibu, CA with her husband and their French bulldog Noam Chomsky. Follow her on Tik Tok @chicnarrative.
