The Michael Pritchard Murder (Part 1 of 1)

In the new episode of ‘True Crime Investigators UK’, we look at the tragic death of Michael Pritchard, a delivery driver for Business Express in the Staffordshire and Derbyshire area. Who on Wednesday the 12th November 1997, was murdered by a young man who tried to steal his van and in doing so, ran him over and killed him. The murder is still undetected and as John was originally the family liaison officer in the case; this is still an investigation that he often thinks about. We hope by looking further into what happened on that day and talking to Michael’s widow Hilary, we can tell you more about their story and ask you to help us catch the people responsible.

The Murder Of Monika Zumsteg Telling (Part 3 of 3) - Ruined Families

In the Autumn of 1980, a young aristocratic Englishman, Michael Telling, was in Sausalito, a city in Marin County, California, across the Golden Gate Strait from San Francisco, USA. He was riding a special edition Harley Davidson motorcycle. A chance meeting with an American couple, Lou and Elsa Zumsteg, their daughter Erika and other friends, whilst out for a motorcycle ride, was to change their lives forever... Welcome to the final part of our #truecrime investigation into the murder of Monika Zumsteg Telling. In this third episode we discuss what happened after Monika’s headless body was discovered in a wooded area near Exeter Racecourse. We also talk about how Michael had tried to cover up the murder; which had happened five months earlier when Monika was shot and killed and how he had kept Monika’s body in the outdoor Sauna at Lambourne House. Followed by his arrest and subsequent trial in 1984. Violent crimes and murders. They can affect and leave deep scars on even the most strongest of families. So we again talk with Erika (Monika’s sister) and discuss how the Zumsteg family tried to cope with their loss and the deep pain it caused them over the years. If we can, we hope we have helped give Monika a voice during these three episodes and helped tell her sad side of the story to all of you.

Prison: From Officer to Inmate (Part 1 of 2)

This is the story of a young man, Vincent Marks, bold and strong willed. He joins the RAF and spends 6 years in service before returning to civvy street. There he seeks stability and security, he believes a uniformed, disciplined profession will deliver that and he becomes a Prison Officer. But some of the inmates are friendly towards Vincent, but they clearly aren’t his friend. He gets drawn into a web of deceit and he commits criminal offences to appease them. A chance meeting with an American couple, Lou and Elsa Zumsteg, their daughter Erika and other friends, whilst out for a motorcycle ride, was to change their lives forever... Thank you for joining us for this second part of our three part #truecrime investigation into the murder of Monika Zumsteg Telling. In this second part, we discuss the troubled marriage between Monika and Michael in the UK. Talking to the police officer Steven Thrift, who had to intervene when Michael’s behavior became more violent and who discovered Michael’s illegally smuggled guns. We also have voice actress Katherine McDermott reading and performing the words of Christina Percy, who was a very good friend of Monika and saw first-hand the violent behavior that was happening. We also continue our interview with Erika, who sadly tells us about the day she was told the tragic news about her sisters death.
