83: No Peeling + Heathen Axe

How does Max Rebo get into that circular keyboard? What’s he wearing under there? One thing’s for certain: He’d smoke Dr. Teeth in a battle set. We discuss these possibilities, shout at George Lucas, eat some cookies, and discuss a stacked week’s bevy of riches by No Peeling, Heathen Axe (John Dwyer’s new band), Puzzlehead (check out Big Sniff too), World Peace, Mock Execution, and the split from Maxshh and Crimson Blue. Also: There’s another new HARD PIVOT! Be sure to pick up a copy of teeter/totter: a see/saw benefit. More physical copies are being made. Punk This Week is a Ruinous Media podcast; thanks to Ruinous for their support. Thanks to Baby Tyler Band for use of our theme song “Needs” off their self-titled album. Thanks to Waylon Thornton for the bumpers. Thanks to Tyler Nickell for the podcast’s artwork. Find Nina Corcoran on Instagram, Bluesky, and Twitter; find see/saw on Instagram and Bluesky. 79: Brainwash Victims + Pretty Baby

We celebrate Easter with a visit from the Dr. Pepper-flavored Peep we’ve named Dr. Peeper. Nina meets Rocco for a summit about the state of the Reese’s Easter egg (and a Mclusky/Pile show). Evan browses a reasonably priced vintage Charlotte Hornets jacket on eBay. We discuss new records from Brainwash Victims, Pretty Baby, Yambag, Robber Robber (read Nina’s review in Pitchfork), Triple Ente, and the split from Mail. & Sects. If you directly support Punk This Week with a subscription to see/saw for $4/month or $40/year, you can hear the new episode of see/saw jukebox with Touché Amoré’s Jeremy Bolm. If you’re in Minneapolis, consider coming to see Eraser, Winston Hightower, Yuasa-Exide, and Tommy on Saturday night (4/11).
