The Work Between People

Maryam Rezaei - Powered by L.A.U.G.H.E.™

The Work Between People is a podcast about what really happens between humans inside organizations. Not only the strategy slides, the values on the wall, or the polished leadership language, but the real space between people: where trust is built, connection is lost, silence is carried, collaboration either deepens or breaks, and performance begins to take shape. Each episode explores one specific topic around trust, connection, leadership, communication, psychological safety, team behavior, and the human dynamics that shape work. Through short discussions with HR professionals, CEOs, executives, coaches, psychologists, educators, and people who work closely with people, the podcast opens honest conversations about what helps humans connect, collaborate, speak up, repair, and perform together. Every guest will also be asked one signature question: What do you think people need most from each other at work today? The purpose is to slowly build a living collection of perspectives from different professionals and industries on what human connection really means inside work. The podcast is hosted by Maryam Rezaei, founder of L.A.U.G.H.E.™, a measurable human- transformation system designed to develop trust inside teams and between leaders and employees. Her work explores what happens beneath the surface of organizations, where trust, connection and human behavior shape how teams communicate, collaborate and perform. Because in every organization, performance is not only built through systems and skills. It is built through the work between people. www.laughesystem.com

Do Leaders and Employees Experience the Same Workplace?

Do leaders and employees experience the same workplace? In this episode of The Work Between People, Maryam Rezaei is joined by Eleni Asvesta, General Manager of KLEEMANN Elevators in China, to explore how the same workplace can be experienced very differently depending on where we sit within an organization. Drawing on her unique journey from senior HR leadership to general management, Eleni shares insights from leading teams across Europe and Asia and discusses why misunderstandings between leaders and employees often arise, the difference between compliance and genuine support, and what helps transform an "us and them" culture into a sense of "we". Together, they explore trust, communication, ownership, purpose, and the role leaders play in helping people understand not only what needs to be done, but why it matters. A thoughtful conversation about leadership, alignment, and the human dynamics that shape organizational life. And a few words about Eleni Asvesta...
