    GSLP Leadership, Bank Fraud, Sports, World Environment Day

    Gemma Arias-Vasquez is a step closer to becoming Gibraltar's first female Chief Minister. Ms Arias Vasquez was be in the studio alongside Nigel Feetham, who says he will not put his name forward. Also in today's episode: recent figures show that fraud losses in Gibraltar have amounted to 2.6 million pounds so far this year. We'll be speaking to members of the Gibraltar Bankers' Association about the growing threat and how people can protect themselves. We'll bring you the latest sports news ahead of the weekend - including a look ahead to Gibraltar vs Bulgaria later this afternoon in the Women's European Qualifiers .     Ocean Spa Plaza Fire, Special Olympics, Youth Achievement Awards, Brave Hearts Awards, Green Buses

    We’ll hear from the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue Service following this morning’s fire at Ocean Spa Plaza. Residents were evacuated while crews dealt with the blaze, and thankfully no injuries have been reported. It's a jampacked show today - Special Olympics Gibraltar has returned from the Switzerland National Summer Games with an outstanding medal haul after a successful bowling competition. Some of the athletes and team members will be joining me in the studio. We’ll also be joined by the recipients of this year’s Youth Achievement Awards, recognising young people who have made a positive impact through leadership, achievement and community spirit. And this morning saw the presentation of the Brave Hearts Awards. The awards celebrate the courage of young people living with serious illnesses or undergoing medical treatment. Plus, Gibraltar’s first Green Bus Stop will be officially launched tomorrow. The project, led by the Horticultural Society and OTWO, forms part of the wider Green Gibraltar campaign. Hosted on Acast.     Pride Month, Intl Football Friendly & Lee Casciaro Retirement

    Sex Offenders, Commonwealth Games, EuroHockey, Nautilus Exchange

    The number of sex offenders registered in Gibraltar has increased to 52. This represents a rise of almost 25% since February last year. Justice Minister Nigel Feetham intends to pass a law to keep sex offenders behind bars for longer. With the countdown on for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, we hear from Team Gibraltar's Chris Walker and veteran sports reporter, John Shephard. Europa Women's Hockey players are back from a successful EuroHockey tournament. Manager Christian Zammit and Gissela will be telling us about their experience And some UK exchange students are with the Nautilus Project this week - Sidney Hooper from Bristol and Luca Tanti from Wales will be joining me in the studio.     School Changes, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Sports, Future Champions

    With one month left before the school summer break Minister for Education, John Cortes will be joining me in the studio to discuss recently announced changes to the school year. We'll be discussing education with the Minister as well as plans for a wastewater treatment plant having been confirmed at the DPC. On that we'll also hear from architect, Ruth Massias Greenberg, who will be joining Eco Waters Director, Carlito Buhagiar.     School Terms Dates, City Under Siege Exhibition, Concert by Candlelight, Bus Naming Competition & Sport

    Coming up on today's show with Kelly-Anne Borge: The change to school terms confirmed last Friday by the government has prompted plenty of debate in the past week. On last night’s Viewpoint TV show, Ros Astengo heard opinions from students, teachers and parents, as they prepare for implementation of the new calendar in the coming weeks - we hear more about that and our social media opinion poll results. One of Gibraltar's most significant military heritage sites, The City Under Siege, is being officially unveiled today following a major restoration and interpretation project. We catch up with Christian Wright, Director of Wright Tech Media, who is also exploring historical links with Jersey. We'll also look ahead to the return of the popular Concerts by Candlelight series - St Michael's Cave will be illuminated by more than 1,000 candles for an evening of timeless music on 3rd June. . School children are being invited to come up with names for the new electric buses that will be launched over the next few months.     School Hours, Young Enterprise, Neurodiversity Book, Amateur Radio Society

    The conversation around school hour changes continues. We'll be hearing from the teachers union, NASUWT. Teenage entrepreneurs are joining us in the studio. Students from this year's Young Enterprise Scheme will be telling us about their business plans, including the members from the winning team, My Mind Matters . We’ll also speak to Christina Giuffre, the children's author has launched the third book in her Dear Friend series; "Dear Unique One: Let's Embrace Neurodiversity" was written in collaboration with PossAbilities. And the Amateur Radio Society is celebrating 50 years in Gibraltar. There's an exhibition at John Mackintosh Hall looking back at the history of amateur radio on the Rock, John King and Ronnie Payas will be coming in to tell us more.     Autism Awareness, Back to the Classics

    We'll be looking at autism awareness and support in Gibraltar, hearing from families about the importance of diagnosis and understanding. There's a family fun day lined up at Casemates this Sunday, Awesome Autism Awareness, to raise funds for Little Smiles.  And over 800 tickets have already been sold for this year’s Back to the Classics at the Bayside Sports Complex.
