They discuss how grief can affect everyone in different ways and how there are 5 'classic stages' of grief that people can experience after loss.  The stages are not a checklist, timeline, or rulebook.  People move in and out of them, skip them entirely, or experience several at once. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression & Acceptance. How loss doesn't necessarily mean the death of someone. It can come through divorce, losing friendship, losing a version of yourself etc. Grief is love with nowhere to go. Maybe the goal isn't returning to who you were before loss. Alongside that, Debs shares her experience of being recalled for a mammogram. Although everything turned out to be fine, the fear and vulnerability shook her deeply. It became the catalyst for finally addressing the escalating menopause symptoms she'd been trying to push through - the hot flushes, the brain fog, and the moments of forgetting meetings that made me realise something had to change.
