PawsGo Recall: Listener Favorites Worth Fetching, How a Dog Named Friday Inspired a Pawfectly Delicious Idea

We love dog-trepreneurs — especially smart women with big ideas that do good! This is one of our favorite PawsGo Pawdcast episodes and one of the very first we recorded. Karen and Jean chat with Anne Tuccillo, founder of Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats. As Anne was preparing to retire from federal service, she was also thinking about what the future would look like for her adult son, Bryan, who was aging out of special education services and facing limited employment opportunities. Then their dog, Friday, helped lead them to the pawfect solution. Together, Anne and Bryan — with a little inspiration from Friday — founded Pawfectly Delicious in 2017 in Alexandria, Virginia. Their treats are tasty, but the mission is even better. Pawfectly Delicious is a nonprofit that employs people with developmental and physical disabilities, providing meaningful work while celebrating each person’s unique gifts, talents and abilities. It’s a team-focused business where employees and volunteers work together to produce dog treats, creating opportunities for people to succeed while building confidence, purpose and connection to their community. It’s a wonderful story about dogs, family, entrepreneurship and doing good — and absolutely worth another listen. You can order Pawfectly Delicious treats nationwide at: https://www.pawfectlydelicious.org/ If you enjoy the episode, please like, share and leave us a comment. It helps PawsGo reach more dog lovers and introduce more people to the amazing guests and stories we get to share.
