    Progressive Commentary Hour - John Veravaeke - 7-21-26

    Prof. John Vervaeke is an award winnig professor of psychology at the University of Toronto and the university's former director of its Cognitive Science Project. His areas of focus include the psychology and nature of reasoning and rationality, Buddhist psychology and the cognitive science of consciousness. He currently directs the University of Toronto's Consciousness and Wisdom Studies Laboratory.  Prof Vervaeke is the host of a 50 part lecture series on Youtube entitle, "Awakening from the Meaning Crisis", which is also the title of his most recent book, and another series called "After Socrates". The series and book map the course of the dark wave of nihilism that as now overwhelmed our civilization and much of the world. He is also the co-author of books of "Zombies in Western Culture A 21st Century Crisis" and a 4-part books series "Mentoring the Machines" which tackles our future in the brave new world of artificial intelligence.     The Progressive Commentary Hour - 7-14-26

    Blake Horowitz is one of Chicago's leading civil rights trial lawyers with over 30 years of experience in Federal and state courts. He has prosecuted over 400 federal claims and brought over 30 high profile cases to trial. One notable victory was the $28 million verdict against the City of Chicago for police misconduct -- the largest case of its in midwestern states.  Other large successes include battling municipal corruption, putting an end to racial profiling in a county sheriff department and other cases involving police abuse. Blake is currently one of three lead attorneys in the organization The GeoFight, along with Tom Renz who listeners may recall led the charge in the legal fight against the government's pandemic mandates. The GeoFight is building the largest coordinated legal action against geoengineering and unauthorized atmospheric programs.  He is also the principal at the Blake Horowitz Law Firm in Chicago, and received in JD degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology.     The Progressive Commentary Hour - 7-7-26

    Prof. Paul Goddard is a retired medical doctor, professor and radiologist. He is an expert in magnetic resonance imaging or MRI and was a past president of the British Magnetic Resonance Radiologists Association. For over two decades Dr. Goddard has been critiquing and battling -- in his words -- the managerial dictatorship that has overtaken academia and the British healthcare system. Before retiring he was a whistleblower on the corruption of the UK's department of Health's hospital rankings.  Based on his own investigative research, he predicted in 2017 a forthcoming pandemic of a novel coronavirus strain. At the outset of the Covid-19 in 2020, he warned the SARS virus originated in the Wuhan laboratory in China and attributed it to gain of function research. Dr. Goddard has published four books including "Pandemic", and more recently the "Death of Science" and "Profiteering from Doom: Just Follow the Money" along with British oncologist Dr. Angus Dalgleish who listeners may have heard interviewed on this program.

    Dr. James Lyons-Weiler is the CEO and Director of The Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge, which performs research in the public interest aimed at finding ways to reduce human suffering using funds donated from the public . He holds a doctorate in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology and has taught at the University of Nevada and the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on aluminum toxicity, autoimmunity, and the differences in health outcomes between highly vaccinated and unvaccinated children, and he has served as an expert witness in the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.  A life-long biomedical researcher, Jim is best known for contributions to advances in medical bioinformatics. He has directed the analysis of data from over 100 medical studies, published over 60 papers in reputable journals, and has authored three books including The Environmental and Genetic Causes of Autism, and has published over 60 papers in reputable journals.     Our guest Colonel Douglas MacGregor is a retired US Army colonel. He has had a distinguished military career having held important operational roles during the Gulf War and was a top strategic planner for General Wesley Clark as NATO's commander during the invasion of Yugoslavia. More recently Col. Macgregor has been the president and CEO of The National Conversation -- a non profit organization for "the politically homeless" with a mission to restore civic dialogue in America that challenges the duopoly ruling Washington and hopefully to lead to a new and viable political party.   Since retiring Col Macgregor has been an author, consultant and media commentator who appears regularly on Judge Napolitano's Judging Freedom and Dialogue Works.  Colonel MacGregor has written several books on military strategy and the history of warfare. He is a graduate of US military academy at West Point and later received a doctorate in international relations from the University of Virginia.     Dr. Helena Norberg-Hodge is an author, activist and filmmaker who is regarded by many as a pioneer of the global localization movement. In the past, Helena has been recognized among the 10 leading environmentalists worldwide. She is founder of Local Futures, an international non-profit organization dedicated to renewing ecological and social well-being by strengthening communities and local economies. Fluent in 7 languages, she studied in her native Sweden, Germany, Austria, England and the United States, specializing in linguistics, including studies at  MIT with Noam Chomsky. Since 1975, Helena has worked with the people of Ladakh (Lah-Dack), or “Little Tibet” in the western Indian Himalayan plateau, to find ways of enabling its ancient culture meet the pressures from the modern world without sacrificing its social and ecological values. For these efforts she was awarded the Right Livelihood Award, or ‘Alternative Nobel Prize’.  She is a founding member of the International Commission on the Future of Food and Agriculture, and a co-founder of the Global Ecovillage Network.  Her book, "Ancient Futures", has become “an inspirational classic” with a forward by the Dalai Lama, and her documentary "Economics of Happiness" has received international acclaim.     Progressive Commentary Hour - 4-21-26

    Prof Angus Dalgleish is a professor emeritus of oncology at St Georges-University of London and a visiting professor at the institute of Cancer Research in London, who is recognized worldwide for his contributions in cancer and HIV research. Dr. Dalgleish is the co-discoverer of identifying the CD4 receptor as a major cellular receptor for HIV. He has published approximately 500 papers in the peer-reviewed literature, and is a fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal College of Physicians. Early during the Covid pandemic, Dr. Dalgleish was a member of a selective group that as early as March 2020, just a few months after the first announcement of the pandemic coronavirus, claimed the Covid-19 virus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Gus has been an outspoken critic of government lockdowns, mask mandates and the Covid vaccines, notably the mRNA vaccines by Pfizer and Moderna.

    The Progressive Commentary Hour - 4-14-26

    Dr. Pierre Kory is the president emeritus of the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance, which he co-founded with Dr. Paul Marik. He is regarded as an international pioneer in ultrasonography diagnostics for critically ill patients, therapeutic hypothermia and the use of intravenous vitamin C for treating septic shock. Dr. Kory developed the first national medical educational programs in ultrasonography for critical care medicine, which earned him the British Medical Association's Presidential Choice award or his textbook on the subject.  Earlier he was the chief of critical care services and the medical director of trauma and life support at the University of Wisconsin. During the height of the Covid pandemic, Pierre helped lead ICUs to deal with the viral surges and was one of the early advocates for intravenous vitamin C and the repurposed drug ivermectin. He is the author of "War on Ivermectin: The Medicine that Saved Millions and Could Have Ended the Pandemic" -- largely a personal account about his crusade and the harsh opposition he faced to bring a safe, cheap and highly effective generic medication to public attention, and the catastrophic results due to medical establishment and mainstream media to push solely the vaccines and novel experimental drugs. Along with Dr. Paul Marik, Dr. Kory had his medical cerification revoked by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He hosts Pierre Kory's Medical Musings on substack, and has a new forthcoming book "Blueprint of Life" forthcoming, which brings together geology, chemistry biology and spirituality into a profound dialogue together.
