    Psychotherapy + Intuitive Readings with Heather Cooper Sellers, LMHC

    On this episode, I had the privilege of sitting down with Heather Cooper Sellers, a Psychotherapist, writer, and intuitive reader. We discussed her values around maintaining congruency between her Therapist self and her authentic self as a key contributing factor to the longevity of her career in the healing arts. This has also been a catalyst for expanding her work into offering anonymous intuitive readings via her advice column on WhatsApp. We also shared mutual yet distinct experiences of a deepening sense of connection to intuition and creativity during the transition to motherhood. And, of course, we dove into the dream realm, unpacking a Jungian take on those pesky overflowing toilet dreams that so many of us know all too well.     Creating While Mothering with Christina Cone (Musical Artist, Creative Agency Founder/Owner)

    On this episode, I had the privilege of sitting down with my dear friend Christina Cone in her home here in East Nashville. I knew she would be the perfect person to talk with about how to maintain one’s creative and artistic identity while simultaneously diving headfirst into motherhood. Christina fronts the band Frances Cone along with her husband, Andy. She also founded Phases, a boutique creative agency for independent artists, earlier this year. She and I spoke about the terror and magic of motherhood, the necessary price we pay to live in community, the journey of healing from religious trauma, dismantling the legacy burden of codependency, and strategies for keeping the creative flame burning all the while.     Sustaining Meaning in The Art Life with Mary Lattimore (Harpist)

    For our 50th episode, we have an extra special guest who I was so honored to speak with: musical artist/harpist Mary Lattimore! Mary’s ethereal instrumental music, particularly her 2020 album Silver Ladders, was a cornerstone of my self-care in pregnancy, and I’ve been a massive fan ever since. Mary joined me virtually from her home in Los Angeles to discuss her favorite ways to build and nurture community and sustain inspiration in her artistry, the scoop on her favorite artist residencies, dreaming as a form of processing the nightmare that is the current political climate in the US, lucid dreaming, and oh so much more!     Tarot for Transformation with Sam Burton (Singer/Songwriter and Tarot Reader)

    On this long-anticipated episode, I got to sit down with singer/songwriter Sam Burton to talk about the role that practices like Tarot and Jungian dream work have played in his personal growth and resulting creative endeavors/artistic career. We also discussed the evolution of his method of reading Tarot for others, and the delicate ethical considerations of this vulnerable but powerful work. In the last year he toured with Loving and Jose Gonzalez. He recently wrapped up a three-week residency at Los Angeles' Club TeeGee, and will head out on the road with Weyes Blood and Indigo Sparke in the coming months. To coincide with the news of his signing to Partisan Records, Burton has released the new song “Maria.” “Maria” was produced by Jonathan Wilson (Angel Olsen, Father John Misty, Margo Price) at his Topanga Canyon Studio with some of the best studio players in LA, and perfectly showcases Burton's knack for mining pure Laurel Canyon AM gold. Pastoral string arrangements bloom in the background of Sam’s striking honeyed vocals-like a modern-day Campbell, Orbison, or Nilsson. Together, Wilson and Burton achieve a sound that doesn’t descend into retro pastiche, but rather becomes an evocative echo, a dream of the past. In scope, the music finds Burton using a far bigger canvas than on his acclaimed 2020 debut I Can Go With You, giving the emotions therein a new sense of urgency and intensity.
