    my writing ins & outs

    its fall which means its prime writing season and the start of the best time of year. we're reevaluating our writing progress and setting new goals for the upcoming writing season. here are some of my current writing ins and outs--things I want to leave behind in the writing process, and things I want to incorporate more of. have any of your own writing ins and outs? let me know what you're hoping to achieve and things you're ready to say bye bye to!

    uh oh...perfectionism has entered the draft

    Is the perfection in the room with us? oh right, it doesn't actually exist. And, guess what? It's actually just making your writing worse. welcome to the first episode of writer diaries (I can't believe this is actually happening!). In this pilot episode, we get real about the consequences of perfectionism, the contentification of writing (yikes), & how the taste-skill gap can help put our anxious writer brains at ease. We might not be exactly where we want to be (yet), and that's okay. The point is, as long as we don't let perfectionism win, we will eventually get there! see you guys next friday with another diary entry :)
