Be Silent Food for the soul

In the Gospel Jesus tells us that He is the Vine and we are the branches. We share in the life of the divine Vine above all through Holy Communion. We ask St Josemaria, the anniversary of whose first Holy Communion we marked on 23rd April, to intercede for us so that we receive Jesus with as much love as we can. Today is Divine Mercy Sunday.
This is a meditation on Divine Mercy by Fr Gavan Jennings

"He is not here, for he has risen, as he said he would” (Mt 28:5-6). That is the wonderful news that we celebrate today, that Christ is risen. And that is a reason too for a new joy.

As the news of the resurrection spreads we contemplate the altogether special appearance of Jesus to Mary his mother and also his appearance to the holy women. A meditation by Fr Tom Dowd.

Today we thank God for the gift of the priesthood as we pray very especially for all priests. We consider the common priesthood all the faithful share and the treasure of the Eucharist.
