Interview: 15 Minutes at a Time - A Lived Mantra for Alex of The Last Vinci

Cork-based alternative rock trio, The Last Vinci, will release their new album ’15 Minutes at a Time’ on April 17th via Narrow Door Records. A powerful, deeply personal chronicle of resilience, transformation, and gratitude. At the heart of ‘15 Minutes at a Time’ lies a phrase that frontman Alex Vinci never expected would change his life. Two years ago, after being diagnosed with a chronic illness just ten days before what he believed would be his final European tour, Alex’s wife offered him simple, grounding advice: Take it 15 minutes at a time. Those words became a mantra, one that reshaped his creative voice, his view of the world, and ultimately, the soul of this new record. Supported by his family and six children, Alex embarked on a path of rediscovery, learning to live, work, and create in small, determined increments. ‘15 Minutes at a Time’ captures the entirety of that journey: the before, the during, and the after. The album channels the fear, uncertainty, hope, and resilience that transformed a life-changing diagnosis into a profound source of meaning. In this interview, we dig into the mantra and how Alex has been able to make it intrinsic to his life and how it has inspired this new record. We also talk about the creative journey, the challenges, the joy of playing live, and so much more. Interview: The Indefinable Nature of Sugar Horse - Talking Not a Sound in Heaven with Vocalist/Guitarist Ashley Tubb

Bristol-based experimental outfit, Sugar Horse, will release ‘Not a Sound in Heaven’, the band's 3rd studio album, on 10th April 2026 via Fat Dracula Records. As indefinable as ever, somehow sounding simpler and more complicated than ever in equal measure, this new Sugar Horse album is unlike anything they’ve ever done before. A punishing, cerebral, and enthralling dive into the world of experimental heavy music, it sees the band pushing the electronic edge of their sound even further, and thematically draws on the increasingly dark-feeling times we're living through. In this interview we spoke to vocalist and guitarist Ashley Tubb about the new album and the direction that Sugar Horse has gone in. We also talk about their constant desire to push boundaries and never do the same thing twice, as well as so much more. Interview: Slave Machine - A Modern Evolution - In Conversation with Nervosa's Prika

Nervosa, the Brazilian modern thrash and death metal, are back with their sixth album, ‘Slave Machine’, out April 3rd, 2026, via Napalm Records. It’s time to thrash… but with a fresh twist! Nervosa are back, settled (thanks to founding guitarist Prika Amaral establishing herself as the vocalist with 2023’s Jailbreak), and in a riotous mood. Delivering an album that expertly blends old-school thrashy ferocity with modern death-infused technicality and anthemic focus. The result is a beast of a record, featuring a manic set of tracks that go varying degrees of hard. Read our full review of the album here: https://www.gbhbl.com/album-review-nervosa-slave-machine-napalm-records/ In this interview, vocalist and guitarist Prika breaks down the new album and the direction that Nervosa have gone in. We talk about her growth as a vocalist, the excitement to play these songs like, and so much more. Interview: The Healing Power of Growth - Talking 'Under the Under' with Vocalist LF

Over half a decade on from the release of their debut album, 'The Smothering Arms of Mercy', Melbourne progressive-death outfit Growth have re-emerged with their sophomore album 'Under The Under', the first new music from the long-awaited second chapter of their planned trilogy aimed at going beyond expressing emotion, illustrating pathways of recovery while acknowledging the most dread-filled aspects of it. This second chapter is planned for release on March 27 via Wild Thing Records. The gap between releases has been deliberate….and necessary. Where 'The Smothering Arms of Mercy' was written from within collapse, sickness and isolation, 'Under the Under' exists in the far more uncomfortable space that follows: what happens when survival is no longer the question and you’re forced to confront who you are once the wreckage settles. In the bands own words, healing, is not gentle. It is an ugly process. Chaotic, disorienting and often more confronting than the pain that preceded it. This is what we delve into with lead vocalist LF. Digging into the details of the album, the creative challenges, how it allows them to connect to people on a deeper level, and so much more. Interview: Exploring the Swamp - The Weird & Wonderful Amphibious World of Froglord

Since the dawn of time mystics have prophesised the coming of an ancient amphibian, bestowed with deathray vision and ectoplasmic slime. Emerging from deep within the mystic swamps of Bristol (UK), Froglord arise bringing their powerful blend of sludgy grooves and psychedelic doom. With face melting fuzz and foot stomping riffs, Froglord’s reign of amphibious terror has begun. Their sixth full-length album, ‘Lower & Slower’, was released on March 4th, 2026. Recorded live in a single studio take, Lower & Slower reimagines six fan favourites from across the band’s catalogue in crushing, funeral-paced form. Revisiting tracks such as They Came from Saturn and Green Inferno, culminating in a rendition of Black Sabbath’s Iron Man. The release carries a strong charitable focus. Where 100% of digital proceeds and 50% of physical and merch profits will be donated to the Waterfowl & Wetland Trust (WWT), supporting their mission to restore 100,000 hectares of wetlands by 2050. In this interview, we chatted with The Froglord himself, discussing the release and how it came about. We delve into the Froglord lore, the beauty of pigeons and rats, talk about upcoming tour dates, and so much more.
