She is known mostly for her documentary photography and for her surrealist , chaotic performer alter ego, Mc Sissi. What to say about the infamous DJ Uraino & Mc Sissi performances that rocked Oporto for a few years prior to Covid shite?? absolute chaos, good vibes, slapstick, bangin tunes. Her impact upon the process of making the album can not be overstated. Her stream of conciousness vocals, menstrual blood painting for the front cover and album title alone are a work of art. Sissi is honest, up front and no b******t as you will hear in this chat. Shes got a lot of stories to tell so there will definitely be a part 2. We thought it a good idea to put this up to coincide with the album so people can get to know a little of her story.     Next up, Slomo Slomo are responsible for one of the most listened to pieces of music in my (paddy) collection. These 2 absolute gents bonded over a mutual love of antiquarianism and heavy music. They were also responsible for a lot of behind the scenes stuff at Julian Cope's Head Heritage site, which at its peak was the coolest spot on the Internet for people into heavy out there sounds and out door activity. We chat to Slomo, ahead of a rare live appearance with Gnod at the Golden Lion in Todmorden on Sept 1st 2024, about their glacial work ethic, Stephen O'Malley and future plans.     Rhys has been around the UK underground for a minute or two, we first met him in the mid 2000s and it's an understatement to say he had a big part to play in Gnod getting teamed up with Rocket and the making of the much beloved Dropout album. You may know him from his work as Acidliner, Drumcunt or with The Notorious Hi-Fi Killers, Hey Colossus and most recently Thee Alcoholics. He is partly responsible alongside long term collaborator and pal Tony Mountford, for one of the greatest Shit & Shine records to be released, via their now defunct label, Noisestar.
