Worth A Listen to (Most of the Time!)
Quality is very dependant on the journalists invited. For example: Norcroft from the Times vs. Shaun Custis from the Sun...
Stallworths like Ollie Holt, Matt Lawton, Paul Hayward, Martin Samuel & John Richardson are great to listen to. Sometimes they give insight into what is an interesting line of work. However if Henry Winter or (God forbid) Rob Beasley are on, it's just a long and painful hour.b
Admittedly Brian Woolnough holds the whole thing well.
P.s. I can't wait to be as old and annoying as Paddy Barclay. Everyone will have to listen to my mindless rants much like they did with Jimmy Hill before they put him down.

Darren gives brilliant insight each and every week. This show was always about the insight from Fleet Street and not really from ex pros. Darren has kept the link to the tv version of the show and long May it continue. Vicky a good host also, keep up the good work guys.
Quality drastically declined
Terrible decision changing format and getting rid of the journos. With the interviews they now include and hearing from ex footballers it’s no different to any other piece in SSN. Audio quality is shocking the difference in levels mean I can’t hear one of the guests almost every week and I’m being deafened by an other. Presenter does a good job but is hampered by issues I’ve mentioned. Finally it ends abruptly every week, no sign off like literally every other podcast. I know it’s a small thing but I find it jarring. Unsubscribed.
