    253: The Fall Of Mean Mark In WCW

    Mean Mark was on the rise to the top in WCW in 1990, but things quickly came falling apart. What the heck happened?! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their encyclopedic exploration digging up The Dead Man as we complete our look back at the full journey of The Undertaker in his early days as Mean Mark Callous in WCW. Everything was looking up for the rookie in the summer of 1990 as he had his biggest match ever - a U.S. Title Shot on PPV against "The Total Package" Lex Luger. But after losing that match, everything began to go downhill. We cover Mean Mark's final few months in World Championship Wrestling and try to pinpoint exactly where it all fell apart, including a rematch with "Wildfire" Tommy Rich that may have been the beginning of the end. We also discuss Paul E. Dangerously's incredible promo skills that were evident from an early age, Jim Ross's ridiculous reliance on college stats for commentary, why we need to see more "Grannies" in wrestling crowds, Bob Caudle's awkward commentary blunders, the logics of pro wrestling hospital bills, some incredible house show matches in Mean Mark's final days, and so much more.     We're headed back to the bowels of the arena, back to SummerSlam 1996, back to THE BOILER ROOM BRAWL for the 30th Anniversary of this legendary match! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their encyclopedic exploration digging up The Dead Man as they take a look back at a classic, innovative encounter between The Undertaker and Mankind that has quite the long and surprising legacy. It was one of the first cinematic matches in WWE history as well as one of the first matches to take place primarily outside of a wrestling ring, and it continues to have an influence on pro wrestling today.     251: Surf's Up 2: WaveMania

    We're talking penguin Undertaker, otter Mr. McMahon, and FISH MILK on an all new Talking Taker! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their encyclopedic exploration digging up the greatest professional wrestling character of all time as they review the movie ScreenRant called "The Worst Animated Sequel Of All Time" - Surf's Up 2: Wavemania! It's a truly bizarre cartoon that can't decide if it's made for WWE fans or fans of the first movie, so it ends up being for no one. Starring alongside The Undertaker as animated penguins are John Cena, Triple H and Paige. And then there's Vince McMahon himself as an otter with a bizarre obsession - you're not gonna believe this one! We do our best to make a sense of a nonsensical plot and discuss the interminable length of the movie, the confusing rules of the Surf's Up World, Michael Cole as an exploding seagull, the Napoleon Dynamite reunion on the cast, the puns that did actually made us chuckle, the weird foreshadowing and premonitions in the movie, and much more as we RTL (you'll have to listen to find out what that means). Plus we share some bonkers Amazon and YouTube reviews of this movie that will leave you cracking up.     250: The Undertaker's Summer World Tour

    Pack a bag and grab your passport - we're going on a summer world tour with The Undertaker on an all new Talking Taker! Join wrestling superfans Alex Doriot and Travis White on their encyclopedic exploration digging up The Dead Man as we gas up the time-traveling hearse for a globe-trotting trip to 4 different countries to watch 5 incredibly rare Undertaker matches spanning 18 years of his career. Up first we travel to Japan in 1992 for matches against King Haku and Takashi Ishikawa. Then it's off to 1996 and Puerto Rico for a rarely seen brawl between The Undertaker and Mankind. After that we fly over to Kuwait for a Kuwaiti Cup Quarterfinal match with The British Bulldog. Then we close with some incredibly rare footage from Mexico in 2010 of The Brothers Of Destruction vs. Chris Jericho and Edge. It's a unique exploration of The Undertaker competing internationally featuring opponents we've never covered him against, the possibly first ever appearance of The Druids and his Coffin Entrance, and the famous Hot Tag video that went viral  a few years ago!     It was Written In The Stars for Alex, Travis, and Tommy to meet one day - we just didn't know it yet!
