Episode 186a: The First Of Many Conversations.

Following the global movement of outrage, heartbreak and ‘Black Lives Matter’ protests after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Alan, Greg and Scott talk about what they’re learning about systemic racism, justice and what it means to be allies to those who are victims of oppression. This episode is called ‘The First Of Many Conversations’ because we’re conscious that three white men talking about race is nobody’s ideal and that, though we want to speak up rather than be silent, we’re committed to using our (small) platform to amplify those whose voices the world needs right now. We hope this will be the first of many such conversations that will include people of colour and others from marginalised groups. As we mention in the show, you may find it more helpful to listen to our interview with author and activist Lisa Sharon Harper in Episode 167 which you can find here.
