Hi Elinor,
I’ve been listening to you for a while and I love your podcasts!
Today I have heard the programs from the last one (when you are asking for donations to give the money to the Zaka organization) and after that, the show before where you teach a song, and we can hear the sirens….
I’ve been crying already when you talked about Zaka, and started to cry again, when I heard the siren and you just continued singing. Like we do when nothing serious happened, just a car honked.
I’m so grateful that you continue with your work! We all need some normalcy in our lives right now…
I forgot to introduce myself:
My name is Beatrix. I made Aliyah from Sweden (Stockholm), but I was born and raised in Budapest.
I had my 5th Aliyah-versarie (according to the Hebrew calendar) on the 7th of October…
I think I can say, all our lives have taken a terrible turn.
I have heard your broken voice after the attacks… and I’m so grateful that you keep on going and you manage to sound happy, like the sirens didn’t wail…
I will look up again how to donate money to you! (I bought previously the Harry and Megan material.)
But if you are ever nearby Shuk HaCarmel: please come and have a coffee at our newly opened coffee shop on HaShomer 1.
We have (my husband, whom I met here in Israel and I) decided that we have to open. No matter what! So we opened quietly last Friday. Instead of big celebration, we just told our closest friends to come…
Life has to go on and we will keep on fighting until we raise again!
And if you come by, I would be happy to invite you to what ever you would like to try.
I didn’t write to advertise the place. I’m writing because you touched my heart… Thank you!
שלום לכולנו
