    Yomim Noraim - תשובה ותורה series  - audio #4 חז"ל tell us that לימוד התורה brings to a כפרה as does a מקוה, ליבון, מעיין, קרבן, ואש Why does it compare torah to all these different items? Is there any specific difference in the כפרה of each of these items? Enjoy!

    Yomim Noraim - תשובה ותורה series  - audio #3 Why does ה' disregard and cover, "בכסא", our עבירות? Why don’t we say וידוי on ר"ה ? Do we really throw out our עבירות into the river by  תשליך?     Yomim Noraim - תשובה ותורה series  - audio #1 What is the relationship between תורה and תשובה? Is תורה a prerequisite for תשובה, or is לימוד התורה a form of תשובה?  Or maybe the result of תשובה can be attained through לימוד התורה.  Or maybe there are two forms of תשובה and one of those forms is primarily through לימוד התורה. Is לימוד התורה a better form of תשובה or just different? Can I have one without the other? If not, how do they complement each other? תא שמע as we discover how our לימוד התורה is possibly the most important part of our עבודת ימים נוראים. Enjoy!!

    Iyun Hatorah Series - #8   (Second audio in the בין המצרים series) Is the purpose in תורה in order to be able to be מקיים מצות properly, or is there a purpose to לימוד התורה  even if it is not למעשה (i.e. עבד עברי,שדה אחוזה, בתי ערי חומה)? What is the difference between לשם שמים and לשמה? Is there an ענין  of עמילות בתורה if I can figure out the סוגיא  with my feet up "chilling" on a shtickel from ר' אהרן? Listen to this audio that sets out two distinct forms of לימוד התורה, and which one was missing that gave way to the חורבן הבית. Enjoy!!

    ירח למועדים-בין המצרים-שיעורים-מאמר יד-שלא ברכו בתורה תחילה

    How can it be that the destruction of the בית המקדש happened because "שלא ברכו בתורה תחילה". Isn't the חיוב only דרבנן?? Is it really possible that כלל ישראל didn't make a ברכת התורה?? What is the reason that this is considered such a tremendous shortcoming that warrants such a tremendous עונש? Listen to the 4 options that ר'ירוחם אלשין suggests in understanding this גמרא. The assumption being that maybe שלא ברכו בתורה תחילה is a symptom of a much greater issue. Enjoy!!

    כבוד התורה- ספר שירת נתן- חלק ג סימן א אות ב

    Why is kavod hatorah a condition to מצות limud hatorah? Is דביקות a side benefit of לימוד התורה or is the מצות לימוד התורה  defined by the דביקות that it causes?   (Based on ספר שירת נתן-חלק ג-סימן א-אות ב)   Listen to how the יסוד of the שירת נתן, is connected and built on  the chiddush that ר' משה הלל הירש offered at the אסיפה for קרן עולם התורה in Passaic.   Enjoy!!
