    The wait is over — we’re diving into Robbie’s BRITPOP album with Part 1 of our track-by-track review. Joined by James from Scotland and Edite from Latvia, we break down the opening 6 songs of the album: Rocket, Spies, Pretty Face, Bite Your Tongue, Cocky and All My Life.  From the promo campaign to release date drama, artwork to sales stats, we dig into what BRITPOP says about Robbie right now. We discuss what the songs mean to us and analyse each of the music videos.  James shares how Robbie went from being the soundtrack to childhood car journeys to becoming a genuine passion, sparked by a deep dive ahead of the Isle of Wight Festival. Fast forward, and he’s now seen Robbie three times in the past year, bringing a fresh but fully invested fan perspective to the review. Edite takes us on her journey from teenage fandom in Latvia to experiencing Robbie live for the first time on the BRITPOP tour. The show didn’t just meet expectations, it completely reignited her love for music.     We were incredibly lucky to attend Robbie’s Long 90’s gig at Dingwalls in Camden, where he performed both his debut solo album Life Thru A Lens and his brand-new record BRITPOP from start to finish!  With phones banned inside the venue, we set out to capture some of the vibe by chatting with fans in the queue about which Life Thru A Lens songs they were most excited to hear, and which BRITPOP tracks have already become favourites.     Special - Elle Cato, Singer, Songwriter & Backing Vocalist

    It’s the podcast’s 4th birthday! And we’re marking the occasion with a very special guest – the incredible Elle (Lorraine) Cato, one of Robbie Williams’s amazing backing vocalists. Elle’s career began when she was just 15, signing as a solo artist with Columbia Records while still at school. From there, she became a sought-after vocal tutor, which opened the door to singing backing vocals for boyband Blue. Since then, Elle has toured or recorded with a dazzling list of artists including Will Young, Ellie Goulding, Van Morrisson, Anastacia, Lisa Stansfield, Jamiroquai and many more.  Elle first sang with Robbie at private gigs back in 2012, but she joined his tour for the first time during XXV in 2023. Owen has been Robbie’s keyboardist since 2019, joining the band for his Las Vegas residency and the epic XXV Tour.
