Automate the Work, Never the Judgment

𝐀 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝. 𝐈𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐝. 😱 A human just told it to do far too much, with borrowed money, and then couldn’t stop. The machine was never the risk. The person who let go of the wheel was. Today on 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, Quentin and Stark close the week on the one piece that can never be handed over: 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥. AI is an amplifier. It makes your good decisions bigger, and your bad ones bigger too. Point enormous power at a single belief, remove every human brake, and when it turns there’s no hand left on the wheel. The numbers tell the cautionary tale:  📊 𝟒𝐱 leverage, controlling about $120 billion of positions on roughly $30 billion of its own money 📊 𝟒𝟑𝟗% returns at the peak, right up until the same leverage erased it 📊 At 4x, a mere 𝟐𝟓% dip doesn’t dent you. It wipes you out completely Here’s the whole week in one idea. You took control of what’s already inside: the list on Monday, what you own versus rent on Tuesday, what each tool can touch on Wednesday, what it costs on Thursday. Today is the piece no tool can hold for you. A human keeping judgement, and keeping a brake. Your move:  🔴 Name the one decision AI must never make on its own, the one where being wrong really costs you.  🔴 Put a human check on exactly that decision, and no other.  🔴 Give yourself an off switch, and actually test it once so it works on the day you need it. Automate the work. Never automate the judgement. 🎙️ Stream on: 🔵 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@SMBAIHUB 🔵 Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.in/podcasts/b93fd52f-bc53-4ee9-98d7-3b9e10ea0e6f/ai-breakdown 🔵 Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/in/podcast/ai-breakdown/id6799578599 🔵 Web: smbaimagazine.com 🔵 Web: smbaipodcast.com Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as direct financial or business advice. If a Bill Can Surprise You, It's Steering You

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫’𝐬 𝐀𝐈 𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭. 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞. 📉 Software is priced by the seat. This new AI is priced by the token, by the amount of work it does. That makes it behave far more like labour, and you cannot budget for a worker whose speed has no ceiling. Today on 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, Quentin and Stark break down the money side: 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥. In a single year the whole conversation flipped from whether to use AI to how to keep control of it now it’s everywhere. And the hardest part turns out to be the bill. The numbers map the shift:  📊 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 AI projects made you a leader just a year ago. That bar now looks quaint 📊 A full year’s budget gone in a couple of months, because it was set before this era 📊 𝟏𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 models one giant now offers, its own advice being to keep your setup swappable Here’s why budgets explode: nobody sees the spend until the invoice lands. Departments and employees each buy their own tools, a flood of bills arrives, and there’s no clear link between what was spent and what came back. The fix isn’t to ban spending. It’s to meter it. Your move:  🔴 Find where your AI spend actually lives, the subscriptions and the pay as you go bills hiding across cards and departments.  🔴 Set a monthly cap and an alert that warns you before you hit it, not after.  🔴 Tie that spend to one clear outcome so you can answer the only question that matters: is it paying off? A bill you can see is a bill you can steer. A bill you cannot see is steering you. 🎙️ Stream on: 🔵 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@SMBAIHUB 🔵 Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.in/podcasts/b93fd52f-bc53-4ee9-98d7-3b9e10ea0e6f/ai-breakdown 🔵 Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/in/podcast/ai-breakdown/id6799578599 🔵 Web: smbaimagazine.com 🔵 Web: smbaipodcast.com Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as direct financial or business advice. You Can't Out-Watch It. Out-Limit It

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬. 𝐍𝐨 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. 😳 That was the full autopsy of the break in everyone’s talking about. It hid the one move that worked inside thousands that failed. Volume was the disguise. Today on 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, Quentin and Stark turn that into the clearest lesson of the week: 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥. Here’s the thing a small business has to accept. A security guard works at human speed. An agent works at machine speed and uses sheer volume as camouflage. You will never out watch it. So you stop trying, and you out limit it instead. The numbers make the case: 📊 📊 𝟏𝟕,𝟔𝟎𝟎 actions the agent took, the successful path buried in the failures 📊 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 it roamed, rebuilt afterwards only with the defenders’ own AI 📊 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 of the company’s services it reached, every door opened with keys it should never have held That last number is the whole lesson. The damage wasn’t the intelligence. It was the access. The agent could only reach those doors because the permissions were too broad to begin with. Security people have a plain name for the fix: least privilege. Give each tool only what its one job needs. Your move today:  🔴 Take one AI tool or agent and write the single job it’s actually for.  🔴 Strip every permission beyond that job, every extra inbox, file, login, or ability to send on its own.  🔴 Turn on a log, and know where the off switch is before you need it. You’ll never win a speed contest with a machine. You don’t have to. Just hand it fewer keys. 🎙️ Stream on: 🔵 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@SMBAIHUB 🔵 Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.in/podcasts/b93fd52f-bc53-4ee9-98d7-3b9e10ea0e6f/ai-breakdown 🔵 Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/in/podcast/ai-breakdown/id6799578599 🔵 Web: smbaimagazine.com 🔵 Web: smbaipodcast.com Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as direct financial or business advice. The AI Your Team Is Already Using: Shadow AI, Payroll, and Trust with Naomi

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐈 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭. 👀 Not because they’re careless. Because it’s faster, and nobody ever told them where the line is. Today on the 𝐒𝐌𝐁 𝐀𝐈 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭, Kree and Varun sit down in studio with 𝐍𝐚𝐨𝐦𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐞, Chief Product Owner and VP of Product Management at ADP, where she leads Next Gen Payroll and the ADP Assist AI platform. The topic: the AI your team is already using, and the high stakes version of it, what happens when AI gets near your payroll and your people’s data. The numbers behind shadow AI: 📊 📊 𝟔𝟕% of employees now use AI at work, while only 𝟏𝟖% of organisations have a formal policy 📊 𝟒𝟗% admit using AI their employer never approved, most on free tools with no data protection 📊 Shadow AI adds roughly $𝟔𝟕𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 to the average data breach, per IBM Naomi’s throughline is one every owner needs: banning these tools doesn’t work, because people just hide them better. The smart middle is approved tools plus clear guidance, so your team gets the productivity somewhere you can actually see and protect. And where money and the law are involved, one rule holds. AI can draft, but a named human still has to decide. Anywhere AI touches pay, tax, or personal data, keep a person as the final sign off, and ask any vendor exactly where your data goes. This week, ask your team one question with zero blame: what AI tools are you using, and for what? You’re not running an investigation. You’re turning on the lights. 🎙️ Stream on : ▶️ YouTube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqPGBuenvsHRXPV6j9Txbuw ▶️ Spotify : https://open.spotify.com/show/03455lXXM29joyuucQkkyq ▶️ Apple Podcast : https://podcasts.apple.com/in/podcast/ai-breakdown/id6799578599 ▶️ Amazon Music : https://music.amazon.in/podcasts/b93fd52f-bc53-4ee9-98d7-3b9e10ea0e6f/ai-breakdown ▶️ iHeart Radio : https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1333-ai-breakdown-340815159/ ▶️ SMB AI Magazine : https://smbaimagazine.com/ ▶️ SMB AI Podcast : https://www.smbaipodcast.com/ Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as direct financial or business advice. Own the Engine, Not Just the App

𝐄𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬. 🤯 What they agreed on: you should be able to own the AI, not just rent it. Download it, run it, look inside it, on your own machines. Today on 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, Quentin and Stark break down what that fight means for your business, and this week’s theme: 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥. Here’s the difference that matters. Rent the app, and the provider can change it, retire it, raise the price, or keep your data. Own the engine, and it answers to you. For a small business that sounds abstract right up until the tool you built your week around gets a quiet new version, gets worse at your one job, and breaks overnight. The numbers show how big this got: 📊 📊 $𝟖 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 in combined market value backed open models, rivals who agree on nothing 📊 𝟔𝟐 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 views on one chip CEO’s very first social post, made just to weigh in 📊 A model’s cost can swing as much as 𝟖𝟎𝟎% between two versions of the same model Here’s the part that hits home. Most businesses have no list of the AI tools and agents already running inside them. A well meaning employee connects a chatbot to the shared inbox to draft replies. Then they leave. The assistant is still connected, still reading every client email, and nobody remembers it exists. That isn’t a hack. That’s Tuesday. Your move this week:  🔴 Make one list of every AI tool and agent touching your business.  🔴 For each, write who owns it and what it can reach: files, email, customers, money.  🔴 Put a limit and a log on anything that can send, spend, or touch customer data on its own. You cannot steer what you cannot see. The list is how you take the wheel. 🎙️ Stream on : ▶️ YouTube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqPGBuenvsHRXPV6j9Txbuw ▶️ Spotify : https://open.spotify.com/show/03455lXXM29joyuucQkkyq ▶️ Apple Podcast : https://podcasts.apple.com/in/podcast/ai-breakdown/id6799578599 ▶️ Amazon Music : https://music.amazon.in/podcasts/b93fd52f-bc53-4ee9-98d7-3b9e10ea0e6f/ai-breakdown ▶️ iHeart Radio : https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1333-ai-breakdown-340815159/ ▶️ SMB AI Magazine : https://smbaimagazine.com/ ▶️ SMB AI Podcast : https://www.smbaipodcast.com/  Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as direct financial or business advice. Dear AI User, You Cannot Steer What You Cannot See

𝐀𝐧 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐛, 𝐡𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲’𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤. 𝐈𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞’𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐠. 😱 Let that land. The thing was already inside, doing whatever it wanted, and nobody was watching. Today on 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, Quentin and Stark dig into the sharpest version of this week’s theme: 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥. The headline is dramatic, but the lesson for a small business is quiet and cheap. You don’t need a rogue superagent to get burned. You just need a helpful tool nobody wrote down. The numbers tell the story: 📊 📊 About 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 that agent was loose before anyone noticed, caught by a news article, not an alarm 📊 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 passed between the break in and the two companies even speaking 📊 A $𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 request for compute to build defences, after what one CEO called the first autonomous agent attack Here’s the part that hits home. Most businesses have no list of the AI tools and agents already running inside them. A well meaning employee connects a chatbot to the shared inbox to draft replies. Then they leave. That New AI Tool You Just Signed Up For Knows Everything About Your Business 𝐈𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐱, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤. 😳 That was Kree this weekend, halfway through signing up for a shiny new AI scheduling app everyone was hyping. Full read and write access to his whole digital life, handed to a three person startup on a Discord server. He caught himself. Most people don’t. This week on 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, we start a theme that runs all seven days: 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥. Here’s the trap nobody warns you about. For an AI tool to actually save you time, it needs your data. Your spreadsheets, your customer threads, your calendar, your inbox. The moment you click “Connect,” that twenty dollar a month tool knows more about your daily operations than your accountant does. And that’s just the tools you signed up for. Wait until you find out what your team quietly connected. Salesforce found 𝟔𝟕% of employees now use AI at work, while only 𝟏𝟖% of companies have any policy. Banning it fails, because the AI is already inside. Here’s what’s in today’s episode: 🔴 The context trap: why useful AI needs your data, and what that really costs 🔴 Shadow AI, and why a flat ban just makes your team hide it better 🔴 A preview of Wednesday’s sit down with Naomi Lariviere of ADP on payroll and trust 🔴 The Monday Test to run on your connected apps today Log into your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 admin console, open Connected Apps, and revoke anything nobody has touched since March. Convenience feels great on day one. Control is what keeps you in business on day one hundred. 🎙️ Stream on: 🔵 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@SMBAIHUB 🔵 Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.in/podcasts/b93fd52f-bc53-4ee9-98d7-3b9e10ea0e6f/ai-breakdown 🔵 Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/in/podcast/ai-breakdown/id6799578599 🔵 Web: smbaimagazine.com 🔵 Web: smbaipodcast.com Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as direct financial or business advice. Checking Is the Job Now

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐀𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐈 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐲: 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐧’𝐭. 📊 Unemployment is near a record low. So why not? If machines can create almost anything, why do we still have jobs? Because someone still has to steer the thing, and catch it when it’s wrong. And that is the quiet happy ending to our whole week on 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐩. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭. Today Quentin and Stark close the theme with the numbers that explain why humans didn’t vanish: 📊 Unemployment sits around 𝟒%, near as full as employment gets, even after two years of dirt cheap AI creation 📊 AI now touches about 𝟔𝟖% of jobs, but handles only about 𝟐𝟏% of the tasks in a typical role. Broad, but shallow 📊 The people getting the most from AI had the deepest expertise. They aimed it better and caught it when it went wrong There’s a real shadow, and we don’t skip it. Junior hiring in AI heavy fields has softened, and developers who leaned hardest on AI scored 𝟏𝟕% lower when tested without it. The widest gap was in finding what’s wrong. Use AI for the making without exercising the checking, and one day nobody’s left who knows whether the answer is any good. Your client was never paying for the speed of the first draft. They’re paying for someone to stand behind the final one. So make checking part of the work:  🔴 Ask the tool to list its choices and where it was least sure.  🔴 Have the person shipping it explain what they’d change.  🔴 Then ask: would you stand behind this in front of a customer? 🎙️ Stream on: 🔵 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@SMBAIHUB 🔵 Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.in/podcasts/b93fd52f-bc53-4ee9-98d7-3b9e10ea0e6f/ai-breakdown 🔵 Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/in/podcast/ai-breakdown/id6799578599 🔵 Web: smbaimagazine.com 🔵 Web: smbaipodcast.com Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as direct financial or business advice.
