    Daniel’s Prophecy Explained | End Times Events Part 3

    God’s plan for the End Times is not random, and the book of Daniel gives us a remarkable look at how God has been directing history toward His eternal purpose. In Part 3 of Pastor George Sawyer’s End Times series at Calvary Assembly, we journey through Daniel 1, 2, 5, 9, and 10 to understand the prophetic timeline surrounding Israel, the nations, the coming Tribulation, and the return of Jesus Christ. Before Daniel was given insight into dreams and visions, he first had to make a decision to remain faithful to God in Babylon. Daniel refused to compromise his identity or convictions, and God rewarded that faithfulness with wisdom, understanding, and supernatural revelation. Pastor Sawyer then walks through Nebuchadnezzar’s statue dream in Daniel 2, explaining the successive kingdoms represented by the statue: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome, and the final divided kingdom represented by iron and clay. The dream ultimately points beyond earthly kingdoms to a stone not cut by human hands, representing the eternal kingdom of Christ that will overcome every human empire. The teaching then turns to one of the most significant passages in Bible prophecy: Daniel’s prophecy of the 70 weeks, or 70 sevens. Pastor Sawyer explains the 490-year prophetic period concerning Israel, beginning with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and pointing toward the coming Messiah. Daniel prophesies that the Messiah would be “cut off,” followed by the destruction of Jerusalem, before a prophetic gap leading into the present Church Age. The final prophetic week remains ahead. This seven-year period includes the rise of the Antichrist, a covenant with Israel, the breaking of that covenant, the abomination of desolation, escalating judgment, and ultimately the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Pastor Sawyer also connects Daniel’s final kingdom imagery with the revived Roman Empire and the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. As we study Daniel, we are reminded that history is not outside God’s control. Kingdoms rise and fall. Nations change. Empires disappear. But God’s Word remains, His purposes stand, and His kingdom will have no end.     The Rapture vs. the Second Coming | End Times Events Part 2

    What happens after the Rapture? When does the Tribulation begin? And what is the difference between the Rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? In Part 2 of Pastor George Sawyer’s End Times Events series at Calvary, we continue walking through the biblical timeline of events that Scripture says are still ahead. The next step in God’s plan is the Rapture of the Church, followed by the seven-year Tribulation, the return of Jesus Christ to earth, the Millennial Kingdom, final judgment, and eternity. Pastor Sawyer explains an important distinction between the Rapture and the Second Coming. At the Rapture, Jesus comes in the air for His Church, and believers are caught up and transformed in an instant. Paul describes this as a mystery revealed to the Church in 1 Corinthians 15, while 1 Thessalonians 4 gives us the promise that believers will be caught up to meet the Lord. The Second Coming is different: after the Tribulation, Jesus returns to earth with His saints, fulfilling Old Testament prophecy and bringing judgment and victory. This message also examines Revelation 16 and 19, Zechariah 12 and 14, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, and other passages that point to the events surrounding Christ’s return. Pastor Sawyer addresses the Tribulation as a time of God’s wrath, the promise that believers are not appointed to wrath, the biblical teaching about the dead in Christ, glorified bodies, the battle of Armageddon, and the role of the Church as the restraining influence against the Antichrist until it is taken out of the way.     Why Jesus’ Return Matters Now | The Lord Himself Will Come Part 1

    Jesus is coming back. That is not simply a future event on the prophetic calendar but a promise that should shape how we live today.     The Rapture, Tribulation, and God’s Eternal Plan | End Times Events Part 1

    What does the Bible actually say about the End Times? What is the Rapture? What happens during the Tribulation? Who is the Antichrist? What happens when Jesus returns, and where does God’s plan ultimately lead? In Part 1 of Pastor George Sawyer’s End Times series, we begin with the big picture of biblical prophecy and God’s eternal plan.
