On the cusp of this country’s 250th anniversary, we host a presentation that features the words of Frederick Douglass who looks at the 4th of July celebration from the perspective of those still awaiting true emancipation – the enslaved population that helped to create the wealth and status of the so-called ‘United States of America.’ The UpSurge Jazzpoetry Ensemble are the featured performers.     THIS WEEK ON FULL CIRCLE  We celebrate the Juneteenth holiday with important interviews about two upcoming events. First the East County NAACP will be having a march and rally next Tuesday from the Antioch police department to Antioch City Hall. We get the detail with Porche Taylor of the Antioch Police Oversight Commission and Dr. Kimberly Payton, the president of the East County NAACP.     We’ll get an update on the case of the Golden Gate 26. They are the protesters that occupied the Golden Gate Bridge on Tax day 2024 to protest our tax dollars being used to fund Genocide in Gaza.   A group of 7 of the protesters had closing arguments in their trial today and the jury is out.   In the second half of the show… the DMV is seeking 54 million dollars to share drivers’ license data with a 3rd party data management company that critics say will open up millions of drivers personal information to the Feds in the Trump regime… including ICE.   Can it be stopped?
