We kick things off with 'Machina' which features an amalgamation of smooth bass tones, subtle drum programming, a cleverly chopped samples and intricately weaved chord progressions, building to a beautiful breakdown before gradually transforming the elements to an unrelenting crescendo of breathy synth licks, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline. Next up is the title track 'A&D' which is a stripped back affair utilizing a hypnotizing chord as the basis of the track underpinned by a staccato rhythm that gradually eases its way to the breakdown of breaks percussive elements before unleashing into a rising melodic hook intertwined with the infectious groove that fades in and out for maximum effect. 80's sound design redone for 2023. Fantastic stuff! Last but not least Gareth drops 'Code' to close out his fine debut on NYLO LAB in style, showcasing beautiful melodies and luscious drum programming to create a lovely grove, which really augments the flow of the track.
