The Lululemon Massacre
On the morning of Saturday, March 2012, in Bethesda, Maryland, law enforcement encountered a scene straight out of a horror film when they entered the Lululemon athletic store in town. Inside this upscale, trendy store, bloodstains smeared the floor, merchandise lay scattered, mannequins were toppled, and a semiconscious young woman with a bloody face had her wrists and ankles bound with zip ties. In the back hallway, they found another young woman, her skull smashed in and her spine severed. The scene was a sickening tableau of violence, immediately suggesting a brutal attack by multiple perpetrators. However, identifying the people/person responsible for this horrific crime was not as straightforward as it initially seemed. And absolutely no one could have possibly guessed the despicable culprit behind this shocking, merciless crime or grasped how truly disturbing and tragic the heartbreaking incident was.

Love Has Won is a modern-day cult shrouded in mystery and controversy, heralding a woman named Amy Carlson as the Mother of All Creation. According to Amy’s devout followers, she was a 19-billion-year-old reincarnated deity with the power to cure all illness through love. Her advisory circle was an eclectic ensemble of dead celebrities with whom she claimed to be in direct communication. Amy Carlson led hundreds of followers who believed fervently in her divine identity and powers, trusting her with not just their spiritual and physical well-being, but also their financial resources. Under the guise of spiritual enlightenment and healing, she manipulated and controlled her followers until the day she died by the very principles she preached. Following her death, we are thrusted into a vortex of haunting questions: Was her death, which slowly and painfully unfolded on livestream alongside her followers who watched, murder or suicide? Or, as her disciples proclaim, did she simply leave her earthly body (which had turned completely blue) to ascend to a fifth dimension? Her bizarre saga, from the mundane to the mystical, beckons us to unravel the dangerous reality behind her harrowing end.

A slam-dunk of a podcast!
Hello from New Delhi, India! I don’t listen to true crime podcasts a lot, I prefer reading/watching them on tv. I’ve tried… but I often find the narration to be too rehearsed, which in some way i find distracting. Like comparing a radio show to a group of friends swapping stories, I find the latter more engaging, even as a fly on the wall. So, needless to say, I love this show. I love how its a conversation than just information being launched at you. I love how well balanced it is. Investigator Slater’s meticulous research and Tank’s well placed humor and unsuspecting knowledge bombs. I love how they’re both so respectful of the victims and how they recognize the circumstances that may have contributed to creating the ‘monsters’ they talk about. I learn something new every episode. I purposely do not stay updated with the episodes, so that in the event i have a huge chunk of time- in waiting rooms, long car ride, plane ride… i have a bank of episodes i can binge-listen to. Whenever you plan to launch merch, i really hope you ship worldwide!
