    156. 10 things I stopped doing to stop running my business like an emergency

In today’s episode, I’m sharing the 10 things I stopped doing to make my business feel less like an emergency. For the first two years of my business, I felt like everything needed my immediate attention. I was checking emails, responding to clients, watching sales, and starting my workday before I even got out of bed. Eventually, I realized that constantly operating with that sense of urgency was taking a toll on me—and something needed to change. The surprising part? I didn’t need to completely overhaul my business. I didn’t change my marketing, take on fewer clients, or restructure my offers. Instead, I made small changes to the way I interacted with my business—like deleting email from my phone, limiting my time on social media, creating stronger boundaries with clients, building recurring revenue, and giving my team more room to do the jobs I hired them to do. If your business constantly makes you feel rushed, behind, or afraid that opportunities will disappear if you don’t respond immediately, this episode is for you. My hope is that these 10 changes give you ideas for creating more peace, stability, and flow in your own business—without feeling like you have to burn the whole thing down and start over. What you'll learnWhy I deleted the email app from my phone and stopped checking my inbox every dayHow app limits, phone restrictions, and no-phone Sundays helped me become more intentional with my timeWhy setting boundaries and no longer being available 24/7 actually benefits both me and my clientsHow monthly recurring revenue created more stability and removed the pressure of constantly starting from zeroWhy reducing social media consumption and letting go of micromanaging my team freed up time, energy, and mental space in my business Resources & Links:ScalabilityHour RichJoin Kajabi: 3 months for $99 + a bonus from me!Plug and Get Paid150 Free HooksIG University30 Days of Manychat Pro FREELearn how to run successful paid ads Some of the links mentioned are affiliate links, which help to support this podcast at no additional cost to you! 155. Trial Reels: The exact strategy that grew me 4,000 followers in 2 weeks

In today’s episode, I’m sharing the trial Reels strategy that helped me gain 4,000+ followers in just two weeks. And I have to admit something first: I was wrong about trial Reels. After previously saying they weren’t worth my time, I’ve now posted hundreds of them and completely changed my strategy after seeing what they can actually do for account growth. After five weeks of testing, I finally feel like I’ve cracked the code. I’m breaking down exactly how I’m using trial Reels right now—from posting five variations a day and repurposing winning concepts to experimenting with broader topics outside my niche. I’m also sharing how I turn views into actual followers, why your profile needs to be optimized before trying this strategy, and the simple posting-order mistake that could be limiting your reach. Most importantly, I want you to approach trial Reels as an experiment. Not every Reel is going to take off, but the data you collect can help you create stronger hooks, better content, and a smarter overall marketing strategy. What you'll learnWhy I’m posting five trial Reels a day and how I create them without coming up with five completely new ideasHow I use simple B-roll and hook variations to test concepts quickly and identify what resonatesWhy I keep reposting and tweaking winning concepts instead of constantly creating something newHow I’m using broader, non-niche content to reach new audiences while still attracting aligned followersThe CTAs, profile optimization, posting order, and testing strategies I use to turn trial Reel views into actual Instagram growth Resources & Links:ScalabilityHour RichJoin Kajabi: 3 months for $99 + a bonus from me!Plug and Get Paid150 Free HooksIG University30 Days of Manychat Pro FREELearn how to run successful paid ads Some of the links mentioned are affiliate links, which help to support this podcast at no additional cost to you! 154. The digital product industry has an integrity problem from both sides

In today’s episode, I'm diving into a topic that has been weighing heavily on me lately: integrity in business. After seeing more and more examples of misleading marketing, inflated claims, and questionable business practices, I felt like this conversation needed to happen. This isn't about calling anyone out—it's about helping you become a more aware buyer, a more trustworthy business owner, and someone whose actions align with their values. I share why transformation should always come before revenue, how chasing numbers can quietly erode trust, and why integrity matters just as much from the client's perspective as it does from the business owner's. Whether you're creating offers, investing in coaching, or simply trying to build a business you're proud of, this episode will challenge you to reflect on the standard you're setting through your actions. What you'll learnWhy prioritizing transformation over revenue leads to a stronger, more sustainable business. The hidden cost of inflated results, misleading marketing, and teaching strategies you don't actually use. What integrity looks like from both the business owner and client perspective. Why payment plans aren't an exit strategy—and how to handle financial challenges with honesty and communication.A simple reflection exercise to help you evaluate whether your business practices truly align with your values. 152. How my content strategy was quietly killing my brand

In today's episode, I get real about a hard truth I uncovered in my own content strategy: I'd been treating Instagram like a box to check rather than a relationship to build. After realizing my low-effort approach — quick B-roll clips, recycled podcast captions, and single expiring stories — was tanking my engagement, my follower count, and my connection to my audience, I made a deliberate shift toward more effort: daily face-to-camera talking reels, richer story content that invites real conversation, and simply showing up more like a person and less like a marketing machine. I trace this wake-up call back to a recent conference where, room after room, people recognized me from Instagram and told me how much my content meant to them — a reminder of the impact I'd been underestimating. Just two weeks into this new approach, I'm already seeing a wave of unsolicited praise from friends, clients, and followers, even though the metrics haven't dramatically changed yet. I share exactly what I changed (and what I didn't), my new daily story and reels habits, my Bought Back by AI content series, and my goal of hitting 300K followers by the end of July — while opening the floor for questions from you. What you'll learnWhy "effort" is the missing ingredient most people skip in their content strategy. The difference between content that's easy to make and content that actually builds a brand. How a single-story-a-day habit can cap your connection with your audience. Why talking reels are outperforming other formats right now for growth and conversions. How real-life recognition can reveal the true impact of your content, even when the metrics haven't moved yet. 151. Don’t get bored with it, get paid with it

In today’s episode, I'm sharing a conversation I recently had with one of my students during their launch that perfectly illustrates why that's almost never true. We unpack why their pre-sale wasn't getting the traction they hoped for, the biggest mistake they were making in their launch content, and the mindset shift that every business owner needs when it comes to selling. I also share a story from one of my own launches that completely changed the way I think about marketing. Just when I was convinced everyone already knew about my offer, someone messaged me asking what it even was. That simple DM became one of the biggest reminders that your audience sees far less of your content than you think. If you've been holding back because you feel repetitive, this episode is your permission slip to keep talking about your offer. What you'll learnWhy feeling tired of talking about your offer is actually a good sign. The mistake that causes launch urgency to get buried in your marketing. How to make your pre-sale, price increases, and deadlines impossible to miss. Why repetition and volume are essential during a launch. How this same mindset applies to evergreen offers—not just live launches. 150. I almost deleted last week’s episode (here’s why I didn’t)

In today’s episode, I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes moment that almost led me to delete an entire podcast episode because I convinced myself it wasn't "good enough." Before I hit delete, I stopped and asked myself a simple question: What if it actually is good enough? That one mindset shift completely changed the way I think about creating content, running my business, and showing up consistently. I also walk through four lessons I learned simply because I chose to hit publish instead of chasing perfection. If you've ever delayed posting, launching, or creating because you felt it wasn't ready yet, this episode is the reminder you need: your business isn't built on one piece of content—it's built on the compound effect of consistently showing up. What you'll learnWhy "good enough" often creates more impact than perfection. The four biggest lessons I learned from publishing a podcast episode I almost deleted. How to choose content topics that feel more relevant, natural, and valuable. Why your business success comes from consistency—not one viral post or perfect launch. How to stop overthinking your content and trust that it's reaching exactly who needs it. 149. The unsexy truth about building MRR

In today's episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on the reality of building monthly recurring revenue—and why the journey is far less glamorous than most people make it seem. Everyone wants the $10K, $20K, or even $50K recurring revenue months, but very few people talk about what it actually takes to get there. I share real examples from my own business and my students to show why consistent, incremental growth always beats chasing the next shiny object. If you're tired of starting every month at $0 and wondering how to create more predictable income, this episode will help you shift your focus toward building a sustainable revenue foundation that compounds over time. What you'll learnWhy building monthly recurring revenue feels "unsexy"—but creates the biggest long-term payoff. How small monthly gains compound into consistent high-income months. The biggest mindset shift that keeps entrepreneurs from building predictable revenue. Why recurring offers and one-time offers both have a place in a healthy offer suite. How to evaluate whether your current marketing strategy actually supports your recurring revenue goals.
