I 2022 to Lars Marius Leine en prøvetur over Atlanterhavet med et vennepar. Det ble det podcast av.
Året etter kastet han loss med familien på fire for å ta den samme turen i sin 52 foter Talita Kumi. Som en god sunnmøring kaller kan livet i varmen for sytalaust - det betyr at alt er helt perfekt, og en har ingenting å klage over.
Nå begynner det å nærme seg retur for familien, og da måtte vi ta en prat med Lars Marius Leine om gleden av å seile langt, varme dager med seilvenner og selvfølgelig utstyrsprat.

Jasmine, Joanna, and Guy Clegg sold their farm on the south coast of England and replaced it with a beautiful Koopmans 39. Now they are sailing full-time, and spreading knowledge and inspiration thorugh Jasmine's YouTube channel Sailing Free Spirit.
They have explored the Hebrides, Faroes, and are now in Norway after arriving well above the Arctic Circle last year. We caught up with them in Svolvær to talk about sailing, exploring wild places, getting away from the everyday madness, and much more.

Ella Hibbert (27) is very busy these days. She is working hard to get her Yeva, a steel Bruce Roberts 38 ketch, ready for a grueling solo, non-stop circumnavigation of the Arctic circle this year.
This is how she describes her solo circumnavigation of the North Pole: "She will be sailing from Haslar Marina, in the Solent, up the East coast of England, to a start point on the 66.5°N latitude of the Arctic Circle between Norway and Iceland. Then, around Iceland, southern Greenland, the NotthWest Passage through Canada, across Northern Alaska, and into Russian waters. Crossing the Laptev and Kara seas (NorthEast Passage) and eventually back to her starting point near Norway, before heading down the coastline of the UK again to set foot ashore, for the first time since leaving, back in her home base of Haslar Marina, England. "
The Arctic expedition has been officially endorsed by the Scientific Exploration Society.

Erik Aanderaa fant et ørlite værvindu over Nordsjøen i februar og rakk frem til Up Helly Aa festivalen på Shetland med bare noen minutters margin. Returen til Norge ble langt mer hårete enn han egentlig ønsket med vind over 50 knop og bølger han heldigvis aldri så hvor høye var i nattemørket. Vi diskuterer vær, meldinger, sikkerhet og råskapen i en storm.

Veronica Skotnes seiler og bor på Finnmarkskysten i sin 42 fots ketch Villekulla. I likhet med mange andre har hun blitt opprørt av hvordan serien Oppsynsmannen på NRK viser hvordan vi ødelegger naturen bit for bit. Kommune for kommune. Spesielt da hun så hvordan en av hennes mange "hemmelige" ankringsplasser på Helgelandskysten hadde blitt rasert ved at en hel øy, og alt liv som levde der, er sprengt vekk til fordel for et oppdrettsanlegg på land. Den tidligere idylliske Indre Rosøya ved Rødøy er nå bare en grå masse.
Kanskje vi må ankre mer i bortgjemte viker for å få en nærmere kontakt med naturen og for å vise at vi bryr oss?

James «Jim» Dobie was a skipper in the Clipper Round The World Race. Now he is about to launch Expedition Zero which is fossil-free expedition boats ready for adventure. The launch is in the upcoming Boot Dusseldorf, but he took the time to talk to us about his venture and the future of electric propulsion and sailing.  
The first electric expedition boat will be sailed through the North West Passage in 2026, and the interest to join is massive. The goal is to avoid using any fossil fuel on the extreme trip through ice and barren landscape. The expedition is in cooperation with Wavysail.
On January 25th UTC 1900 Jim and Wavysail are launching the expedition in a Zoom meeting, and you can join.
