HI 101 is absolutely my favourite podcast when it comes to history. "This isn't a lecture", Adam Bleskie states in the opening and boy is he right - this is SO MUCH more fun. Set up as a conversation it really holds attention, the host obviously does some serious research and this is an absolutely perfect way to eat up your tedious commuter or just listen for fun. Adam is sneakily witty and will happily let go with an occasional outburst of laughter. Can not recommend it strongly enough. For a first, check out his episodes on jazz, the Vikings or WW1 - yes, he tackles all sorts of fun topics. Entertaining and informative in equal measures, HI 101 is not to be missed.
