Islamist Terrorists Strike Michigan & Virginia, Local Dem Blames Guns

Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they examine the Islamist terrorist attacks in Michigan and Virginia, the local Virginia prosecutor who wants to blame the attack on guns, and former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke predicting the end of real elections and the start of unchecked fascism unless Democrats win the midterms. First, they walk through the terrorist attacks targeting Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan, and an ROTC class at Old Dominion University in Virginia. Both incidents appear to be clear cases of Islamist terrorism, bringing the total to at least four similar attacks in less than two weeks. The Virginia suspect previously served prison time for providing material support to ISIS but was released early and allowed to remain in the United States. Next, they rip Norfolk, Virginia, prosecutor Ramin Fatehi, who has jurisdiction over the Old Dominion case, for blaming the “cult of gun absolutism” rather than the extremist ideology the shooter openly expressed before the attack. Jim hammers Fatehi for attempting to shift the narrative and explains how the terrorist violated multiple existing laws at every step leading up to the shooting. Finally, they examine extreme rhetoric in American politics as Beto O’Rourke claims the upcoming midterm elections are the last barrier between freedom and endless authoritarian rule. Jim and Greg excoriate O’Rourke for using the kind of reckless political language that has motivated violence in the past. More Massive Blue State Fraud, as California Hospice Scandal Unfolds

Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour host Scot Bertram fills in for Jim Geraghty on Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Scot and Greg Corombos as they discuss the staggering amount of hospice fraud in Southern California, CNN’s repeated stumbles while reporting the New York City terrorism story, and Michigan lawmakers moving toward a mileage tax. First, they applaud CBS for reporting on hundreds of millions of dollars lost to hospice fraud, with a surprisingly large share occurring in Los Angeles County. Greg explains how the scheme harms its unwitting victims, while Scot praises CBS for pursuing the story and questions why more mainstream media outlets are not consistently investigating allegations of fraud like this. Next, they’re stunned as CNN stumbles into a third retraction and apology in less than two days over the attempted terrorist attack in New York City on Saturday. Just hours after anchor Abby Phillip apologized for falsely reporting that NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani was the target, another reporter repeated the same claim. Scot and Greg also react to a CNN commentator badly botching the Pentagon steak and lobster story. Finally, they weigh in on lawmakers in Michigan considering a mileage tax on electric semi-trailers and haulers to make up for lost gas tax revenue. While they strongly oppose government mandates pushing electric vehicles, Scot and Greg vehemently reject the idea of the government monitoring vehicles to impose a new tax or for any other purpose. Is Starbucks Joining the Blue-State Business Exodus?

Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they watch lefty businesses and business owners flee blue states for red states, oil tanker traffic grinding to a trickle in the Persian Gulf, and CPAC still welcoming the likes of Steve Bannon. First, they react to the news that Starbucks is moving part of its corporate headquarters to Tennessee, a state with no income tax, and hinting that more of its corporate structure could follow. The coffee giant is currently based in Washington state, which just approved a major tax hike on higher-income households. The blue state economic fantasy runs into reality yet again. Next, they're frustrated by Iran's ongoing ability to stop most oil tankers from exiting the Persian Gulf. Jim explains how Iran is able to harass so many vessels despite its navy being so badly depleted and what the U.S. Navy can do to counteract Iran. Finally, they groan over the news that CPAC has invited Steve Bannon to speak at its conference later this month. The controversy follows revelations that Bannon conducted a multi-part interview with Jeffrey Epstein and appeared to be trying to rehabilitate Epstein’s public image, Please visit our great sponsors: Unlock your healthiest skin by targeting visible aging signs at https://Oneskin.co/3ML with code 3ML for 15% off. Iran Sleeper Cell Warnings Grow & CNN Coddles NYC Terrorists

Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch podcast as they react to reports that Iran may be attempting to activate terrorist sleeper cells inside the United States, celebrate the Iranian women’s soccer team receiving asylum in Australia, and slam CNN for its disturbing coverage of the attempted terrorist attack in New York City. First, they discuss the U.S. intercepting encrypted messages that could be aimed at activating terrorist sleeper cells in this country. This type of threat from Iran has been a concern for a long time, but will this amount to anything? Greg also suggests this would be a good time to fund the Department of Homeland Security. Next, they celebrate  the Iranian women's soccer team receiving asylum in Australia. The Iranian regime branded them as "wartime traitors: for refusing to sing the Iranian national anthem before a game last week. Finally, Jim and Greg unload on CNN for posting a sympathetic tweet and story about the two men who attempted a terrorist attack in New York City on Saturday. The suspects have openly identified as radical Islamists inspired by ISIS, raising serious questions about why CNN would frame the story in a way that appears to soften the portrayal of the accused terrorists. Finally, they unload on CNN for a sympathetic tweet and story about the two terrorists who tried to kill people in New York City on Saturday and have made it clear that they are radical Islamists inspired by ISIS. Why would CNN even consider sanitizing this story to benefit of the defendants? Mamdani Under Fire for Blurring Islamist Attack on NYC Protest

Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they weigh in on New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani being deliberately vague about who attempted a terrorist attack in the city over the weekend, national Republicans failing to counter Democrats’ aggressive gerrymandering push in Virginia, and Jesse Jackson Jr. rebuking three former presidents for turning his father’s funeral into a political stage. First, they slam Mayor Mamdani for being dangerously vague about the two explosive devices that two counter-protesters tried to detonate there at an alleged white supremacist event in NYC on Saturday. The two alleged terrorists gave multiple indications that they were motivated by Islamist ideology. Mamdani clearly trying to obscure the facts is very disturbing sign. Next, they sigh as Democrats pour tens of millions of dollars into a referendum aimed at redrawing Virginia’s congressional map. The proposal relies on heavily contorted districts to achieve that outcome. Meanwhile, major national Republican organizations appear largely absent from the fight, prompting Jim and Greg to ask why the GOP is standing aside during this battle. Finally, they applaud Jesse Jackson Jr. for calling out Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden for delivering lengthy political speeches at the funeral of his father, civil rights leader Jesse Jackson Sr. Jim and Greg specifically highlight the hypocrisy of Obama, who always claims to pursue unity but gets divisive at every possible opportunity. Iran Strikes, Kristi Noem Fallout & Dems’ Nazi Tattoo Problem | Last Call

Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, they focus on the U.S. military's incredible execution in Operation Epic Fury against Iran, the downfall of Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem, and the Dems' disturbing fondness for a truly radical Senate candidate. First, Jim and Greg look at the jaw-dropping performance of the U.S. military in the war against Iran. Within the first few hours, the United States and Israel killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini and dozens of other top officials and seized military dominance by air and sea. Next, they look at how the week ended with President Trump firing Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem. Her congressional testimony seems to have been the final straw, as she admitted to spending $220 million on ads for the department. She claims President Trump knew about those costs and approved them. Noem also said there was open bidding for those contracts. That does not appear to be true. Then, they shake their heads as Democrats are starting to rally around Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner despite his Nazi Totenkopf tattoo, radical writings, and disturbing associations. So why is the left OK with Platner?  Finally, the "chaser" for the week is how a once famous TV pitchman got wiped out in a Texas congressional primary. Kristi Noem Under Fire Over $220M DHS Contracts

Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they examine new questions surrounding departing DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s $220 million advertising spending, react to a weak February jobs report, and marvel at the cutting-edge missile technology that reportedly eliminated Ayatollah Khameini and many other top Iranian leaders. First, they continue digging into how the Department of Homeland Security spent nearly a quarter of a billion dollars on advertising. The scrutiny intensifies as details emerge showing that only a small number of contractors were considered for the work, many of them with personal connections to outgoing Sec. Kristi Noem. Next, they wince at the February jobs report, which shows a net loss of 92,000 jobs and the unemployment rate rising to 4.4 percent. Some experts note other key points, including that many of the job losses are in government. But Jim argues Republicans must avoid repeating a key mistake from the Biden era when it comes to the economy. Finally, Jim and Greg are fascinated by the Blue Sparrow missile used in the strike that killed Ayatollah Khameini and dozens of other Iranian leaders last weekend. The technology behind the weapon is remarkable, but Jim still has one important question. Dems Call Trump Fascist, Rally Behind Senate Candidate with Nazi Tattoo

Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch, as they marvel at lefties rallying around a Senate candidate despite multiple Nazi-related controversies. They also discuss why Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem's tenure is ending soon, and the shady way Montana Republicans manipulated the ballot at the filing deadline. First, they marvel as Democrats and left-leaning media figures suddenly rally around Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner despite multiple controversies, including his Nazi-related tattoo and troubling writings and associations. After initially distancing themselves from Platner, many on the left are now overlooking the baggage because they believe he offers their best chance to defeat Sen. Susan Collins. Next, they walk through the National Review exclusive explaining why President Trump was running out of patience with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. From taxpayer-funded ads that boosted her personal profile to how she handled ICE operations in Minnesota and more, Noem is providing Trump too many headaches. And since this recording, Trump made Noem's exit official. Finally, they blast Republicans in Montana for a last-minute maneuver that effectively cleared the field in a major race. Sen. Steve Daines announced on the filing deadline that he would not seek re-election, leaving just one candidate in the contest. Why are some politicians afraid to give voters a real choice?
