⛰️ Valle d’Aosta: oltre il Monte Bianco

Podcast for Italian learners | Level: intermediate 🐢🐢🐢 Click on this LINK for a full transcript, photos, vocabulary, English translation and exercises to practice. 🇬🇧 What if the most beautiful mountains in Italy weren’t the ones everyone talks about? While the Dolomites are swarmed with visitors, today I’m taking you to Italy’s smallest region: the Aosta Valley. We’ll travel by camper van, waking up in front of a castle and enjoying breakfast accompanied only by the sound of birdsong. I’ll share my personal picks for the best hikes and mountain huts in the region, and we’ll visit a completely car-free village as well as a fortress turned into a museum. But why “beyond Mont Blanc”? Listen in to find out and to discover what lies hidden around Europe’s most famous mountain.

Podcast for Italian learners | Level: intermediate 🐢🐢🐢 Click on this LINK for a full transcript, vocabulary, English translation and exercises to practice. 🇬🇧 Do you know what happens when the sun and the moon decide to play hide-and-seek right above your heads? Today I'm taking you with me to Valencia, on the evening of the 12th of August 2026, on the hunt for a total solar eclipse. I'll tell you about the collective fever that started on social media, the (slightly comical) adventure of tracking down the right glasses, and that magical moment when an entire city came to a stop. But at the last moment, something threatened to ruin it all: would we manage to see the eclipse before the clouds covered it up?
