    Growing up in Saudi Arabia, Hanan was always made feel different due to her Somali heritage. But with a civil war raging back home, her family had nowhere else to go. After eventually being granted asylum in Ireland, she followed her dreams of becoming a filmmaker, and now works to document the culture and heritage of her homeland.     Growing up in Nigeria, David was always aware of the risks he faced as a mixed-race kid. So at 17, he travelled to London and sought asylum.     Gustavo’s childhood dream was to become a fighter pilot in the Venezuelan army. Instead found himself studying economics and moving to Ireland.
