    New Moon in Cancer July 9/10: New Beginnings that were a long time coming 2018-2020 we experienced eclipses in Capricorn and Cancer. This is our first new moon in Cancer since the Capricorn-Cancer eclipses. Whatever work you have been doing on the Capricorn-Cancer eclipses comes into a fulness during this time and birth a sweet new beginning. Empowering and Connecting to the Feminine Empowering the feminine is about connecting to the part of yourself that has been oppressed through the patriarchy. Whatever your gender identity is, you have something here to reclaim. We have something to reclaim here as a human collective. The feminine is the part of us that has a oneness with others and with the planet. It's the part of us that intrinsically knows. Your feminine side is your most powerful guide, and it can be accessed through working with the moon. The Archetype of the Moon The first calendars were created during the agricultural revolution. They documented the solar cycle, so they could plant and harvest crops. The moon became outcast and eventually became feared. The moon teaches us to accept and embrace uncertainty. Western culture is really good at seeking the answers at all costs, but we are not very good at surrendering to the mystery. We liberate the feminine by embracing the mystery.     Sophia Holly has been practicing yoga for over 15 years—a lifeline, it has assisted her with her recovery from disordered eating, and continues to support her to manage her busy lifestyle.     Self-Healing with Chiron in Aries

    This episode is being released on the new moon in Aries, so this podcast episode is an exploration of Aries and Chiron’s current transit through Aries. We are in the final days of Aries season and we are deep into spring. Nature is coming back to life after winter. Aries is the flowering of the trees, its seeds germinating, it’s the plants sprouting, it’s beginnings. It’s birth, it’s something coming from nothing. Aries teaches us courage, boldness, and individuality. Whether or not you have Aries in your chart, you can connect to these themes and you can experience Aries. Anything you plant right now is what you are going to harvest later. You can intentionally plant “seeds” in different areas of your life, or you can allow it to unfold unconsciously, or you can find some kind of path in the middle. Chiron in Aries Healing our boldness after the fear that COVID instilled in the collective. Because of what we have been through, we have different comfort zones than we had before. So the process involves exploring our new comfort zones and gently pushing ourselves to expand it in order to achieve our desires.     Sacred Plant Medicine with Heather Sanderson

    I am bringing the podcast back by honoring the new moon in Pisces with Heather Sanderson. Heather and I talk about how to dream with plants and connect with sacred plant allies. Heather Sanderson has been working with plant spirits her whole life. In 2013 she studied herbal medicine at Third Root in Brooklyn, NY which led her to a 3-year apprenticeship in Sacred Plant Medicine with Carole Guyett in County Clare, Ireland.
