Guy has written about style and culture since the 1970s, from the Village Voice, Interview magazine, and countless other publications. His recently published memoir, Do Something: Coming of Age Amid the Glitter and Doom of ‘70s New York, discusses his early life in the up-and-coming art scene of New York and is an extraordinarily heartwarming and compassionate read. (I highly encourage you all to pick it up. It’s a good one.) Guy and I discuss the current state of fashion, avoiding burnout, the brands he admires, and how retail is evolving. We also unpack more of his recently published memoir, Do Something.
