Spurgeon and Zack are pretty great
Hi. I’m Joe. I’ve lived and worked in Japan for 15 years now, and I finally got into motorcycling last year. There is a Harley dealership in front of my university, and long story short, I finally walked in and came out with a little cruiser. (Apropos to your discussion of bike size and body size in the last episode, the bike fits great.) I’m probably not doing much to help stereotypes of Americans among my students when I roll into the university parking lot on a Harley, but it’s great fun nonetheless. I’ve got a question for Spurgeon and Zack: what is a normal amount of accidents and drops for a beginner rider? So far, in one year of riding, I’ve dropped my bike once and I’ve had no accidents, but I usually only ride about 1 hour or so a day and I’m only on asphalt. Is this a normal amount or am I a statistical outlier? How did Spurgeon and Zack fare during their first year of riding? Thanks for the show. I look forward to it every other week.
I love it.
