    【地方こそAI】仙台・東北の暮らしはどう変わる？防災・医療・交通・農業にAIを活かす方法【ココロザシラジオ#46】

    AIというと、東京の大企業や海外のIT企業の話に聞こえるかもしれません。でも、実は、人手不足、高齢化、交通、医療、防災、農業、行政の負担。こうした課題が先に現れている地方だからこそ、AIを使う意味があるのではないでしょうか？今回の「ココロザシラジオ」は、「AIと人間のココロザシ」第5回。テーマは「地方こそAIを使うべき理由」です。地方にAIを導入する目的は、単純な「効率化」や「利益の最大化」ではありません。少ない人手で必要なサービスを守る。災害から命を守る。高齢者や移動が難しい人の暮らしを支える。地域の産業や文化を次の世代につなぐ。そんな「地域の暮らしを守るためのAI」という視点から考えていきます。今回取り上げるテーマは、・AIを活用した防災情報や避難支援・医療・介護の記録や見守りへのAI活用・地方の交通を支えるAIと自動運転・農業・水産業におけるAI活用・観光と地域データの活用・中小企業がAIを導入する際の課題・行政の窓口、議事録、申請支援へのAI活用・地域データや個人情報をどう守るか・AI導入によって人とのつながりを減らさないためには何が必要かなど、地方で暮らす私たちに身近なテーマを幅広く考えます。そして大切なのは、「AIを導入すること」そのものを目的にしないこと。「地域の誰の、どんな困りごとを減らしたいのか？」まずそこから始める。さらに、AIにすべてを任せるのではなく、地域の現場を知る人がAIを理解し、使いながら改善していく。外から技術を持ち込むだけではなく、地域の人が自分たちで課題を発見し、AIを使い、地域の未来をつくっていく。そんな「自創できる地域」のあり方についても話します。また、AIによって仕事を効率化する一方で、町内会の見守りPTAでの活動祭りの準備窓口で人の話を聞く時間といった、一見すると「非効率」に見える人間の営みをどう守るのか。AIは、人とのつながりを減らすためではなく、人と人が関わる時間を守るために使えるのではないか。そんな視点も今回の重要なテーマです。地方に必要なのは、都会の真似をするAIではない。地域の暮らしを守り、人手不足を補い、災害に備え、人と人とのつながりを支えるAI。仙台・宮城・東北のこれからの暮らしに、AIをどう活かしていけばいいのか。ぜひ一緒に考えてみてください。#ココロザシラジオ #AI #地方創生 #仙台 #宮城 #東北 #生成AIWhen we hear about AI, we often think of Tokyo, major corporations, or global technology companies.But what about rural communities?Labor shortages, aging populations, transportation challenges, healthcare access, disaster preparedness, agriculture, and the growing burden on local governments are already serious issues in many parts of Japan.That is why rural communities may have an especially important reason to use AI.In Episode 46 of Kokorozashi Radio, we continue the series “The Kokorozashi of AI and Humanity” with the theme:“Why Rural Communities Need AI.”The purpose of using AI in local communities should not simply be greater efficiency or maximum profit.It can also be about:Protecting essential services with limited human resources.Keeping people safe during disasters.Supporting older people and those with limited mobility.Helping local industries and traditions reach the next generation.We explore how AI could be used in areas such as:Disaster prevention and evacuation supportHealthcare and elderly careLocal transportation and autonomous drivingAgriculture and fisheriesTourism and regional dataSmall and medium-sized businessesLocal government services and applicationsProtecting personal and regional dataBut there is another important question:What happens to human relationships when AI makes everything more efficient?Neighborhood watch programs, PTA activities, festivals, community meetings, and simply taking the time to listen to someone may look inefficient from a purely economic perspective.But these activities can create trust, connection, safety, and culture.So perhaps AI should not be used to eliminate these “inefficient” parts of community life.Instead, it could be used to reduce the burden of the work around them so that people have more time to connect with one another.For example, AI could help organize documents and contact lists, while people protect the time they spend meeting face-to-face.We also discuss why local communities should not simply depend on technology brought in from outside.People who understand the local culture, economy, challenges, and everyday life need to learn how to use AI themselves.The goal is not simply to “introduce AI.”The first question should be:Whose problem are we trying to solve, and what do we want to change?Starting small, measuring the results, listening to residents and frontline workers, and improving the system over time may be more important than purchasing a large AI system all at once.AI does not have to make rural communities look like big cities.It can help rural communities remain themselves while facing the challenges of the future.The AI rural communities need is not AI that simply imitates the cities.It is AI that protects local lives, supports people, strengthens communities, and helps pass the future on to the next generation.How should AI be used in Sendai, Miyagi, Tohoku, and other local communities across Japan?Join us for the conversation.#AI #RuralJapan

    【AIは民主主義を壊す？】Deepfake・SNS・選挙…私たちは何を信じればいいのか【ココロザシラジオ#45

    AIによって、本物そっくりの偽動画を作れる時代。SNSでは、一人ひとりに合わせて異なる情報が表示される。もし選挙直前に、候補者が「とんでもない発言」をしている動画が拡散されたら。それが本物なのか、AIによって作られた偽物なのか、私たちはどう判断すればいいのでしょうか？今回の「ココロザシラジオ」は、「AIと人間のココロザシ」第4回。テーマは「AIは民主主義を壊すのか、進化させるのか？」です。Deepfake（ディープフェイク）による偽情報、SNSのアルゴリズム、エコーチェンバー、政治広告、AIによる情報操作など、AIが私たちの「情報環境」そのものを変えつつある現在。「映像があるから本物」とは言えなくなった一方で、「これはAIだから偽物だ」とも簡単には判断できない。問題は、偽物を見破る技術だけではありません。誰が発信したのか。どの情報を信頼できるのか。なぜ自分にはこの情報が表示されているのか。そして、民主主義に必要な「異なる意見を知ること」や「少数意見を理解すること」を、AI時代にどう守っていくのか。さらに今回は、AIと安全保障についても考えます。情報収集やサイバー防御など、AIには社会を守る可能性がある一方、判断のスピードが速くなりすぎることによるリスクもあります。政治の世界でも、AIを使って有権者一人ひとりに最適化されたメッセージを届けることが可能になっています。政策を分かりやすく伝えるためのAI活用と、個人の不安や弱みを利用してメッセージを出し分けることは、どこで線引きされるのでしょうか？一方で、AIには民主主義を「壊す」のではなく、より良くするために使える可能性もあります。異なる意見を整理する。少数意見を可視化する。議論の争点を整理する。参加しにくかった人の声を届ける。AIに結論を決めさせるのではなく、人間同士が対話するための「地図」をAIに作ってもらう。そんなAIとの付き合い方についても考えていきます。そして最後には、私たち市民がAI時代の情報と向き合うための3つの確認ポイントも紹介。「発信元は誰か？」「今すぐ拡散する必要があるか？」AI時代の民主主義に必要なのは、偽物を見破る力だけではありません。違う意見を持つ人たちが、事実を確かめ、対話し、対立を超えてより良い答えをつくっていく力。AIは民主主義を壊すのか。それとも、民主主義を進化させる道具になれるのか。ぜひ一緒に考えてみてください。 AI can now create fake videos that look remarkably real.Social media platforms can also use AI-driven systems to decide what each person sees.So what happens if, just before an election, a video suddenly spreads showing a candidate making an outrageous statement?Is it real?Was it created by AI?And how can we know what to trust?In Episode 45 of Kokorozashi Radio, we continue the series “The Kokorozashi of AI and Humanity” with the theme:“Can AI Destroy Democracy — or Could It Help Democracy Evolve?”We explore the growing impact of AI on our information environment, including deepfakes, social media algorithms, echo chambers, political advertising, misinformation, and information manipulation.In the past, people often assumed that “seeing is believing.”Today, that assumption is becoming much harder to maintain.But the problem is not simply that fake information is increasing.AI can also create a situation in which people begin to believe that nothing can be trusted — even genuine information can be dismissed as fake.Democracy requires more than majority rule. It also depends on people having access to relevant information, understanding opposing views, and being able to question those in power.So how can these foundations be protected in the age of AI?We also discuss AI and national security.AI may help with intelligence gathering, image analysis, cybersecurity, and other areas of security. In Episode 44 of Kokorozashi Radio, we continue our series “The Kokorozashi of AI and Humanity” with the theme: “Is ChatGPT Bringing an End to Education?” We imagine a future in which, by 2041, every child has an AI tutor who can adapt lessons to their individual level and explain concepts as many times as necessary. AI could make personalized learning more accessible and reduce teachers’ workloads by helping with educational materials, test analysis, and learning records. But does that mean teachers will become unnecessary? Quite the opposite. As AI takes on more of the role of delivering answers, teachers may become even more important in helping children discover their potential, develop meaningful questions, build relationships, understand the purpose of learning, and recover from failure. We also discuss the importance of reading comprehension, drawing on Noriko Arai’s research into whether AI could pass university entrance exams and her book AI vs. Children Who Cannot Read Textbooks. In an AI-driven world, basic literacy may become even more important. Children need to be able to accurately understand written information, identify conditions and relationships, verify evidence, and distinguish facts from opinions and assumptions. We explore how schools could use AI not simply as a tool for getting answers, but as a learning partner: “What is the evidence?”“Is there another point of view?”“Can you explain it with a simple example?”“And finally, what do you think?” We also discuss AI and children’s privacy, educational data, family rules for using AI, the importance of failure, and why schools may become even more important as places where people learn together.
